Went there with six of us Wednesday, October 19, 2011 and kicked off with their massive starters platter which was flawless (we finished off 2 of these platters), and then had an ensemble of squid salad, curry chicken, and some spicey, spicey noodle dish which was also flawless. Had a bottle of some kind of French merlot that complimented everything perfectly and was quite reasonably priced at GBP 12/bottle. They came around with some complimentary Thai whiskey which put a nice closure to the evening. Definitely coming back here on my next time around Hammersmith.

Service was friendly and helpful enough, but food was dreadful. Edible but nothing more impressive than that. Had a chicken jungle curry, which was extremely bland, with virtually no spice, and was overwhelmed by lemongrass, which seemed the only flavouring present. The chicken was standard cheap slightly over cooked stringy chicken, and the vegetables barely cooked. No green peppercorns, no finger aubergines, or tomatoes, or thai basil. Just one piece of aubergine, cougette and pepper, and a handful of green beans.
Prawn crackers tasted old, and had a slightly chewy stale consistency. It was certainly filling, but then I'm full of regret also. Should have just bought a sandwich.

Went here after walking past a few times and seeing it was always busy. We were sadly dissapointed. Spring rolls were good but the sticky rice was over done, veg jungle curry had no spice & the marinated pork had been re-heated by microwave and was so dry it was almost inedible.
Take my advice if you want good Asian food in the area either head to Mud Mee on Munster rd for Thai or Saigon Saigon on King St for Vietnamese both are fab
this place may be cheap but it certainly ain' t cheerful!

I found this restaurant via this website and was very pleased with my choice.
I booked a table and was glad that I did because the restaurant was completely full (on a Monday night). But it soon cleared out when the Apollo crowd left.
Shared starters of vegetable spring rolls and chicken satay skewers were very good and of generous portions. I then had the yellow curry with chicken for my main with steamed rice. The curry had lovely flavours and a rich sauce with fresh pineapple. It was a lovely meal and my only small gripes would be that the potatoes in the curry seemed tinned, and also that it was not hot at all (on the menu it was rated with two stars out of a possible three for max heat - I erred against the jungle curry with three stars in case it was too hot).
But a lovely local restaurant and very handy for the Apollo. Some of the best Thai food I've had at that price in London.
