Reun Thai

This is my local Thai and one of the best I have found in London. Mixed starters are a nust and then the panang or massaman curries. Main courses have possibly gone down in standard in the past few months but it'still good!

Went before an event at the Apollo, wonderful food and well priced, would definately recommend, it is hard to find a good thai restaurant and this is definately a good one. Not very glam, but relaxed and informal, just what we wanted.

This place is a tiny gem. I ate here before a gig at Hammersmith Apollo and was very pleasantly suprised. Really tasty & authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices. I'll be returning soon!

I was at this tiny resturat on Saturday nite with 13 of my friends. Although the resturant is a little hard to spot, as it has no lite signs or boards up front, I was surprised as to how accomodating the resturant was and how well behaved and charming the staff was.

The food was great and i am sorry if the other guests found us noisy, but hey its not everyday that 14 good friends meet and all of us throughly enjoyed our food.

All in all I think the resturant has won itself 14 repeat customers and chances are we all mite come down together again...

This place is my local Thai eaterie. Better food than the Blue Elephant at a third of the place and none of the attitude! The next best thing to being in Bangkok. Friends of mine from all over UK & Europe insist on a visit here when they are in London.

Close to the Apollo Hammersmith, a good location for a meal before going to a show. We got there around 1830 and were the first customers and about 10 minutes later it had filled up.

The surroundings are quite nice not over done and nice soft lighting. The service and the Food were both excellent. Good sized portions and very tasty.

Overall a good meal out and certainly reccommended. Why pay £25 a head'ish when you can pay £15'ish for the same.

However one down point was they serve cola from a bottle, and so could be a little flat, although a the beer was nice.

our local thai five years ago, and we still make the journey back now when we want a quiet dinner with good food and friendly staff ! the stuffed chicken wings and the thai red curry with extra chilli always hits the spot!

The decor is very quaint, no doubt about it, and hygiene? Hmm... Not to sure about standards there: I imagine the chef's dropping cigarette ashes in the pans, like in most cuisines, but the fact remains that the food is very good.

Very spicy so watch out for the chilli indicators on the menu - and then subtract unless you know you can take it.

Incidentally, wine prices are very reasonable and the staff is very, very likeable and friendly, busy but welcoming.

Oh, they have to fix the bloody front door!

Maybe they've redecorated, but the decor is no-where near a bad as other reviews have suggested, and the restaurant was filled with couples enjoying the delicious food coming quickly and efficiently from the kitchen. This resaurant SMELLS GOOD - you know, that lovely aroma that comes from good kitchens the world over. My only criticism was that as we prepared to pay the bill diners on one table started to smoke. (No ashtrays on table, but seemingly available on request.) If I had still been eating this would have been a real problem.

After having read the reviews on here, my partner and I thought we'd give it a go.

First of all, I don't know if they have done it up, but I didn't think the surroundings were that bad! It had a very cute, intimate atmosphere, almost as if being in their front room! It was very basic decor wise, but not bad at all.

The food then.

It absolutely lived up and even exceeded my expectations (I read the reviews, my partner didn't).

Our starters were superb, very hot (temperature wise!), fast and really nice pieces of chicken. I ordered a green curry for my main, and requested it extra hot, and when it arrived it was absolutely the way I like it! They did actually listen to the request.

My green curry was gorgeous, the sauce was great, nice pieces of chicken, nice veg, superb! My partner had a duck curry, and he said it was also really nice pieces of duck instead of the lesser bits you sometimes get, he said this was amazing!

The service was very fast, friendly and personal, and I for one thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

There was no service charge included but we left a generous tip as it had been truly amazing service and food, and the prices were extremely reasonable, and the quality and quantity were both outstanding.

Definitely one to recommend, it's not in an obvious location and when you walk in you might think to not go through, but please do, it's truly worth it!!!!
