Joe's (Fenwick's)

I agree with the review far below that the service is unattentive and cold although they charge you service AND a cover.(Just found out on my receipt and was surprised to find a salad and a bottle of still water to be 22 GBP. Apparently they have charged me wrong with somebody else's prawns!!)

Food is rather good, but you can find better value cuisine in this neighbourhood.

I dined here for lunch alone, a non-smiling waitress showed me to my seat. (wondered if she hated her job...?)

Anyway although the place was almost empty (around 3pm) the waitresses left 2 ladies after me at the entrance unattended for a couple of minutes because they were too busy chatting to themselves. The poor old ladies had to prove they existed by stepping right inside the restaurant!

Now how is that supposed to gain a good service charge??

I would never return to this place, way too pretentious.

Absolutely outstanding food and the service was second to none, Thursday 16 March 2006. Wow! So good to be a special part of Fenwick's, lunch was very special for myself and my husband, a real treat in London, Bond Street with Hilary Alexander from the Telegraph!! We will be back in a couple of weeks time!

What can i say.This place used to be so good, what has happened to it. Average food, over priced, they forgot the fries and then wanted to charge us, and the staff! Those that seemed to be awake enough didnt seem to understand english.
