Galileo's

Terrific food and service. We were accomodated downstairs as we were a large (20 people) party. Being so many we created our own atmosphere but upstairs seemed to be busy and happening for smaller groups. Authentic Italian food and hospitality at a reasonable price- recommended

I took my friend here for her birthday last night and i must say that it was a great evening. We also had theatre tickets for Phantom, so quick service was a must. They said they would try their best, and not even 10-15mins after we placed our order, we were eating! Fantastic!

We recieved a warm welcome, had a lovely meal that was served very very quickly and received excellent and efficent service.

Galileo's is a fine restaurant!

I have never had such poor experience in a restaurant as I had here on 27 April. The service was appalling, if it wasn't so infuriating it would have been comical, more so than Fawlty Towers.... We were basically ignored until we actually went and got a waitress, not just once but every time we needed service; the main meals came out so far apart the first one was long eaten by the time the last appeared; no chance of dessert as the main meals took so long to be ordered and served (probably a good thing as they would have been dire too no doubt); no-one ever came to see if we needed anything. The food was mediocre, and just made the experience completely ghastly (if the food had been great at least that would have offset the terrible service). I will certainly never be returning. I advise you to stay away.

After too much shopping me and my girlfriends were heading back to Charing Cross, with the plan being just to go somewhere like Pizza Express. We saw this place on the way though, and I'm so glad we went in. The Food was good, the staff were so friendly and nice and it was hardly expensive either.

We sat upstairs which had a really nice atmosphere, so I can't comment on the atmosphere downstairs as someone else said, but it seemd alright. Overall I was extremely impressed with the restaurant. The food was of a standard higher than most Italian restaurants but it's obviously not a top end restaurant. I definitely hope to go again.

I visited Galileo's in May before going to see Phantom of the Opera. I thought the service was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we didn't feel as though we were being rushed. The menu was very good and the food was first class. Each course was delicious and the cost was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend visiting this restaurant and I am sure I will return again.
