Great location, Reasonable prices , Awful food. My wife and I dined at this restaurant last week. We ordered our meal from the express menu (2 courses for £10.95) which by the way is not the same as the menu featured on their web site. For starters we had the Tuscan sausage on bread which consisted of 2 small pieces of lightly toasted garlic bread with a few shreds of almost raw meat grated on top. For the main course my wife had the vegetarian option which came still in the shape of the foil container it had obviously just come from. I ordered the scampi with penne pasta which was truly awful it consisted of greasy pasta with two tiny shrimp in it, on top of which was the empty broken shells of two or three shrimp (where the meat from inside these shells had gone I never discovered). Needless to say we were terribly british and failed to complain about this dreadful meal, but I would encourage you to do yourself a favor and dine elsewhere.

Outstanding service, all done in 80 minutes, good food, OK wine and an amazing efficiency. Recommended for a pre-theatre meal!

We reserved online and turned up early which was no problem for the staff. We had pre booked for the two course set menu which was excellent value. However we were dismayed to find there was no vegetarian option. The waitress went and spoke to the Manager who organised several choices for my vegetarian daughter. The loos were clean, staff pleasant, wine cheap and the food lovely - will definately go again for a pre show meal.

we thought the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. we we're on a pre -theatre deal, which often has you treated differently from the other diners. This was not the case here. The food was excellent, quickly served, leaving ample time to walk to the theatre. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

We thought the desserts not very imaginative.

Been there twice. The staff is friendly, quick and very polite. The food is tasty but nothing really special. Very nice capuccino as well. Overall more than average.

Good quality food

Reasonable price

Even place a rose on the table (which I requested when I booked in advance. It was a Valentine weekend extra)

Spacing is a tad cramped

CONCLUSION

A worthy place to eat some Italian if you happen to be in the area.

I took one of my girlie friends here for lunch last week. As she was working we knew we had to have a quick lunch amd Galileo's was certainly that. The service was great and the food superb. They had obviously had a fresh stock of porcini mushrooms in and our waitress enthusiastically talked us through each of the special dishes they had created with the porcini. I had homemade fettucine with porcini and cream - an absolute delight. And My friend had a fresh porcini risoto which didn't last long so I can presume it was equally good.

The staff were great and the whole thing was lovely - infact I'm going back there for lunch today with some clients!

Terrific food and service. We were accomodated downstairs as we were a large (20 people) party. Being so many we created our own atmosphere but upstairs seemed to be busy and happening for smaller groups. Authentic Italian food and hospitality at a reasonable price- recommended
