What a lovely restaurant!

We had a fantastic meal on Saturday night. The restaurant filled up quickly but we had a great table by the window. The food was excellent - we shared a baked Camembert to start before tucking into beautifully cooked steaks done exactly to our liking. They were served with a sizeable salad garnish and melt in the mouth onion rings. The side of chunky hand cut chips was a good bowlful when compared to the tiny portions you see these days. Desserts followed and a delicious chocolate fudge and the sticky toffee rounded off the meal nicely. All washed down with a superb full-blooded rioja.

The service was excellent, attentive and friendly. We'll be back soon.

Out of 4 main courses ordered with friends, all were served with luke warm meat.

I was the only one to ask for my Steak to be heated further, which took almost 10 minutes. When returned to me, I still had a luke warm steak served on a hot plate. Great if you like salad tomatoes at the same temperature as your steak, luke warm.

Service was OK but had empty plates on table for a long time after main course.

Excellent little restaurant in a great part of London. Found the restaurant by accident and have returned here many times. I would highly recommend the mushroom risotto!

Lovely cosy restaurant in the heart of Shepherds Market.

Very relaxed, very friendly, great service and lovely food with a varied and accessable menu. Also very reasonably priced for a central London location. Thoroughly recommended!!

I'm really surprised by the poor reviews as every time I've eaten here it has been excellent. The food is well cooked and very good value and the service, although not white-hot attentive, was friendly and efficient enough.

The Little Square is a cosy stylish restaurant in a great setting.

The food was excellent and service informal but friendly. There's plenty of choice and a good wine list. I will definitely visit again - it's a great place for a leisurely lunch in a villagey atmosphere yet still in the heart of London.

average unimaginative food, acceptable but overpriced, watching waitresses chat rather than do their job annoyed me and the table next door. Don't bother.

The service at Little Square was terrible. I think the waitress was new, but even so she was appalling. We had to ask 3 times for a wine list and twice for an ice bucket. The food was average at best. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I really liked this tiny restaurant - had a wonderful meal here on a Sunday afternoon. For such a varied menu I was expecting the food to be so-so, however, was pleasantly surprised. The fishcakes were made from chunky pieces of salmon, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and the pork Holstein was delicious. Desserts were imaginative and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.
