KAYA is marvellous restaurant. I think it is the best Korean restaurant in London. The thing I liked most about it was the taste of true Korean food such as Galbi, Bulgogi and Bossam. They were really exquisite. In addition, what I also liked about it was the excellent service. The waitresses wore traditional Korean clothes, 'Hanbok', and they were very friendly. While I was having dinner they asked me if I need more food without interupting my meal. What also impressed me was the reasonable price compared to any other type of restaurant. If you have a party with your friends, you should go there and drink a Korean alcoholic drink called 'soju' in order to relax more. KAYA makes you happy and satisfied.

3 pounds for a cup of tea, which wasn't even refilled. Adding insult to injury is that the kimchee was terrible - soggy and old (in a bad sense). I've been a couple of times and at best found the food to be ordinary. With so many Korean restaurants in London, you'd think they'd improve their act.

Kaya is a wonderful restaurant. The food is absolutely fabulous and the service is pretty good too. For its location in Mayfair, its a fair priced place. They also have a kareoke bar downstairs which feels like you're walking into a completely different world from the restaurant upstairs. Definately take your friends for a meal and order the Korean Sake, its delicious!

This restaurant must be new, as no reviews have been submitted yet. I have discovered this restaurant with friends last week as we were looking for a restaurant in Mayfair.
Inside, it is quite interesting where the personnel are dressed up like traditional Koreans I guess. The décor is imaginative and simple with some touches of Asian objects to remind us where we are for…eating Korean food. Tables are coming up with a hot platter in the middle in order to cook prawns, chicken in front of you a bit like the Japanese Benihana restaurant but with less class and prestige. The menu is quite difficult to read…until you read the last page…Korean food is about sharing. Everything come at the same time on the tables in the middle. The menu is divided between 3 types, which to me are not memorable at all. After understanding about how this is organized, we order grilled prawns, chicken, soft shell crabs she cooked rice, raw beef (like steak tartare) and some wine. The bill comes at £25 a head which is ok in this area. But they charge a plastic bottle of still water at 5 pounds each which is outrageous, plus service charge. If the water was in design bottle like they serve at other restaurants like Hakkasan we wouldn’t have say anything but not a ordinary plastic bottle. In summary, a restaurant where the menu is hard to read, the food ok but not too imaginative and the water is gold.
