The Met Bar

I went with a group of friends for my birthday a few Wednesdays ago anf had an amazing night! Even though I wasn't a member I rang up in advance and they arranged a guest list for me. On the night the music was fantastic and the cocktail were delicious! They are pretty expensive, but they also pack a punch so you don't need many! The atmosphere was really buzzy and the abr was packed with cool people, including the likes of Jaime Winstone, Alfie Allen and Miquita from T4. The Met Bar is definitely still one of the places to see and be seen, and now that the door policy is a lot more friendly (I remmeber having a bad experience about 18 months ago), there really is no reason not to arrange a night out there. I'll definitely be going back as soon as I can!

I really liked the Met Bar itself. The atmosphere was great, particularly the atmosphere. There was a real buzz about the place too, and not to mention the gorgeous cocktails that were made there. A must do!

we stayed at the hotel last night which was lovely. we went in to the met bar about 10ish which was dead, your front room is bigger than the bar. we went and found another bar then thought wed give the met bar another try, got back there at1am and there was alot more people, but full of snobs that think they are better than you.we didnt see any celebs cant see why they would go there anyway. the staff are nice, the music great, they charge to much for there drinks a bottle of bear was £7 its not even a pint! crazy!! we will NEVER be going back there. do not go there!

Went there after eating at Nobu (which is astonishingly good). Pantomime on the door to get in to an unspectacular bar with about 15 people in it. Once in, nice, friendly and attentive service for ludicrously expensive drinks. Irritated by buisnessmen and their surly 'daughters' who decided to stand so that they bumped into us in a virtually empty room. This seemed to be the main clientele base—old businessmen and young girls at least half their age dancing to hip-hop. Fun but weird.
