Appalling food. Appalling service. Appalling prices.

Our group did not just feel disappointment...we felt as if we were being insulted. As if somehow they were doing us a favour just to let us in to be mistreated.

None of us will be going back, ever.

went there for a birthday dinner on saturday. Was really disappointed that the indifferent staff stuck out group in a depressing corner with peeling paint...

Food was average, and for the money there are pleny of better places in NW1/NW£

I completely agree with the previous review of this restaurant. I took my family to lunch on the same Sunday as the previous reviewer and experienced the exact same bad food and lack of good service. I have since written to the Manager and have not had the courtesy of a reply. The service was slow, the food was precooked, reheated and totally unappetising. We did not bother with a pudding. The bill was expensive.

We ate in the upstairs restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime and were very disappointed. Granted, we were a reasonably large group of 12 people but this does not excuse the disastrous nature of the food that was served. The majority of the meals were served stone cold, I had the roast (at £16.50) which was comprised of: poor quality beef, cold, semi-raw roast potatoes, a small overdone yorkshire, soggy parsnips and overcooked (but cold) carrots. The dish was presented with a drizzle of gravy and asking for more (if only to heat up the food) caused mild consternation and 20 minutes to arrive. The service was shabby, slow and disinterested and I clould not in good conscience recommend the restaurant even if prices were halved.

Give this place a miss until it sorts out its prices, service and last but not least, it's food. After waiting over an hr we had to send two meals back but the rest of us let hunger prevail and I made do with some average salmon and almost cold chips at around 14 quid. Plenty of better and cheaper places in London.

Went to the Lansdowne for a birthday celebration and was very, very disappointed. The service was poor (no waiter came near us for 30 mins). They then missed two starters. The food previously has been great but clearly the kitchen was over-streteched and frankly it looked as if they had nipped down to the local supermarket to get the steaks which were supposed to be rib-eye but were clearly of the ordinary superrmarket genre. The monkfish was overcooked, dry and rubbery. Previously great but has it become a victim of its success and got greedy?

I had one of the best dinners of my 25 year old life a Lansdowne

Coming all the way from Australia, I had reservations about whether I would have a knock-out meal in london. Lansdowne exceeded all my expectations.

We started with a martini at the bar followed by home made beef Bresaola which was mouthwatering with rocket & covered in shavings of parmasean. Next was whole sea bream cook in the bag with whilst my partner chose the duck. Neither of us were disappointed. Desert was a chocolate tart and plum tarte.

The atmosphere & ambience made for a romantic evening, the service was impeccible, our waiter was attentive & chatty, but also knew when it was time to bring out our next course.

Whilst a meal like this isn't what the average Australian can afford, I can say that dinner at Lansdowne 'made' my stay in London. I can't wait to return!

I took my girlfriend there last night it was so busy downstairs we ended up in the restaurant (i didn’t know was there). The food was as good as always but there was proper service, we will defiantly be going back to the restaurant.

Last night my friends and I decided that we really wanted pizza so we headed to the Lansdowne. It was, as always, the best pizza in London. We ordered six different pizzas to share and they were all fantastic. We'll definitely be going back.

Probably the most insulted I have ever been in my life. On closing time once we had paid the bar staff told us to f. off. We had not been misbehaving and were just standing by the bar talking. Still speechless.
