your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
This restaurant has been the worst I have been in the last 5 years! I went there with a friend on Saturday evening at around 10:30 pm, the restaurant was very busy but they managed to get us a table in less than 5 minutes (and this is the last good thing that happened in the evening!). The music was very loud and more appropriate to a disco bar than a restaurant, the smell of fried fish was quite overpowering and granted the day after all what you are wearing needs to go to the dry cleaner right away!
Our order was taken quite promptly and professionaly, we ordered the prawn cocktail and a seafood platter as a main course, two glasses of champagne and a bottle of Riesling to accompany the food. Both dishes were of very mediocre quality.
When we finished with our food the manager approached our table and despite the fact that we still had two full glasses of wine in front of us, he informed us that they were in the process of closing and if we wished to have coffee. As there were still quite a few tables we politely asked if we could finish our wine and have the coffees in about 5 minutes. He agreed to that and went to the bar and asked the barman to prepare our coffees that were served to us right away! We complained about it and the manager and a waiter made such a fuss of the issue that it beggars belief how they can be working in the hospitality industry! I will never set foot in the place again terrible food, arrogant managment and loud and smelly environment

Went here last night and was extremely impressed. The atmosphere was fun and lively, staff helpful and polite and the food divine!
Started with tasty fillet steak carpaccio and the liver pate (just a nudge away from foie gras in taste). For main course, we opted for the plateau fruits de mer which was huge with a good selection of tasty treats including a whole crab and 8 oysters. The sea snails didn't really do it for me but my partner was happy to polish them off! Washed it all down with a reasonanly priced bottle of house champagne and then shared a flambee creme brulee to finish.
All in all a great evening, we will be back (after next payday as it wasn't a budget choice!).
Note the music is loud and funky so if you want a quiet night this is not the place to go.

My family and friends (6 of us) ate here on Thursday 25th February. I had seen the restaurant online and was looking forward to the "Half Lobster and Chips"! I was not disappointed! We all started with oysters, followed by Mussels, and then the Lobster & Chips. The lobster wasnt big.. but for the price what can you expect? Overall a great place to eat with lots of atmosphere

I love this place. The food is fresh and the staff are very friendly. The Manager was very down to earth and guided us through his wine list with knowlege and authority.
The music is louder than most restaurants - but I felt that Randall and Aubin isn't supposed to be like other restaurants. It clearly has its own identity.
My party and I enjoyed every mouth full and every moment.

The restaurant is fun, lively with good service. But the food was very poor, which makes it over-priced.

This is a terrible restaurant. The food is very average and therefore well over-priced. The seating is uncomfortable and loud inappropriate music just adds to the discomfort. I cannot understand the rave reviews this restaurant gets when there are so many better restaurants in London.

We're from San Francisco and come to London frequently and are alway in search of great fish and chips. We've now found the place. It's really a small fish restaurtant with a pub like feel and with an excellent broad menu of very fresh cooked and raw choices. We started with 12 Fin de Claire oysters; super fresh, super cold with the juice left in the shell. The fish and chips followed. Both were very crisp but the batter on the fish, unlike other places, was very light and the oil was very fresh. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The experience was well worth discounting the location being across from a sex shop.

This place is fantastic. Ok ok, if you are looking for an intimate, romantic little spot, this isn't it. If you're after quiet conversation, this isn't it. If you're after silver service and intricate haute cuisine, nope, sorry you'd be out of luck again.
If however you are interested in a lively, fun restaurant, to have a great time with your friends, enjoy delicious bistrot food, have a bit of fun with the wait staff and boogie in your seats the whole time then this is it!
Service is fast and friendly, our champagne glasses were never empty. The grilled lobster and frites was delicioius, as was the massive platter of oysters.
I'd definitely recomment Randall and Aubin as a great spot to start a good night out in Soho, starting somewhere around midday!

Assistant manager had a terrible attitude. We were trying to keep out of the way of the staff as we waited for a table (as we couldn't put our names down and then come back) and he got extremely aggrevated and stroppy. He told us to put our two glasses of wine on the floor and not rest them on the side of the bar!
Completely unacceptable - their attitude is that because of their location they will always be busy. It was a shame as we had gone there previously and had a really nice meal. Just shows you how one rude person can ruin the experience.
