Here is someone over selling their italianess. i asked why the carbonara was red in colour. The answer was that they use red eggs imported from caltagirone. sole is possibly vienna's biggest rip off. This is possibly london's biggest con.

We went to Giovannis as a pre-theater meal and really enjoyed it. It is tucked away off of a little courtyard, and is a small, cozy place for a relaxed dinner. Yes, it is slightly shabby around the edges, but for me it had character and is just the kind of little place full of personality that I like. The staff were very friendly, the service was good, and the food was excellent. We had salads and then pasta, all of which were simple, fresh and tasty. Would definitely go again. It is especially well placed for the Garrick Theatre.
