Possibly the worst service I have encountered! After waiting 40 minutes for food, we left. Staff completely incompetent and did not seem at all bothered by the number of tables leaving after not being served or not receiving their orders. Definitely won't be back....

Booked a set 2 course meal as part of a theatre deal ,and was dreading it after reading reviews. A pleasant surprise. Restaurant pretty full (6.30 pm Friday). Had to wait 40 minutes for meal to arrive but food was great - lamb for myself and a fantastic vegetarian risotto for my wife. Desserts good too. Bit of a wait again for bill , which wasn't correct but staff helpful and apologised . Would be happy to eat there again . Literally a stones throw from the Cambridge theatre where we were heading next.

We ate in the bar and while polite the service was poor. The worst thing was the feeling of being ripped off (its either that or they dont know what they are doing)

I ordered the Fish Cakes as a main course, my friend ordered the fish cakes as a starter - when they arrived they were EXACTLY the same dish. Waiter really tried to persuade me they were different because ithey each have a slightly different kind of sauce with the main course......seems a very small difference to justify a £2 additional cost.

Overall we really had to chase to order, it was over 1/2 hour wait till we received the food - not a great experience.

Overall okay.........

Drinks......omg omg omg........fresh apple juice £3.50 + service 12.5% it was not fresh....it was concentrated apple juice , how cheeky of them charging this much for concentrated apple juice

1) Starters: fish cake.....where was the fish?? It was all mashed potato with tiny flakes of fish (not really visible to the naked eye). Duck liver and foie gras.......it was served with a slice of white toast.......

2) Main course: Pork ribs......tough tough tough. Pollock fillet......okay.... a bit tough and dry

3) we skipped dessert after all that

Atmosphere was peacefully quiet (at one point we were the only table, thats saying something)
