My boyfriend had booked us a table at Navajo Joe's as part of a package with theatre tickets. We were booked in at 6 but arrived a little early to enjoy a couple of drinks in the bar first. Cocktails were nice and prices weren't too high considering the location. Theatre package menu was quite limited (4 starters / 4 mains - only one vegetarian option on each) and there were supplements on what we'd already paid for some of the more interesting options. So managed to spend £20 on a meal we'd already paid for! Atmosphere was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this package as service was quick (without feeling rushed) and we had no problems getting to the theatre on time. Good way to start the evening.

Booked a table for 6 on a Saturday night and we were sat up on the mezzanine level overlooking the bar. It is definitely geared for those on a night out rather than a quiet romantic evening (music and noise) but great atmosphere in a central location, if that is what you're looking for. Cocktails are great, and was pleasantly surprised about the food. Ordered the chicken with lime and mango salsa and it was very very good. It came with a burrito sliced in two. The presentation was great and the service was friendly. Others ordered fajitas, crispy pork and all were impressed with their meals. It's a fun night out with good food in such a touristy area!

I went to Navajo Joe's 2 weeks ago on a busy Saturday evening.

Being a young couple we wanted to go somewhere where we would be able to enjoy ourselves and have a laugh without anybody turning their noses up at us!

It was a bit on the expensive side but for London this was to be expected.

We had a starter of teriyaki steak, crispy duck and hoisin sause nachos and kangaroo meatballs in a tomato and garlic sauce! I still dont know which of those was my favourite!

For our main meal we both had the Fajita special of steak chicken and prawns and we were pleasently suprised at how good the meal was.

The service was good and all the staff were very friendly.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the night and would definately visit again.

Child friendly? Ha ha ha. It was obvious as we entered neither the staff nor other customers wanted us there. Awkward staff, inappropriate language from other diners, smokey environment - this is a bar not a child friendly eatery!

Recently enjoyed a dinner in the main restaurant with my partner on a Saturday night.

Luckily I booked or we may not have got a tabel as the main downstairs area was bursting, but this adds to the atmosphere. There is a mezzanine area to eat on first floor which may suit more quieter parties. Food was great, large portions meant side orders and mains were not finished. Prices are steep but it is central London. Waiter was english which made a change from other places and served wonderfully, very attentive. Highly recommended if you want a special treat but watch the purse strings

We (5 of us) went here for my boyfriend's Mums birthday on Sunday 11th February. When we arrived, our table wasn't ready so we went to the bar and had some drinks. The cocktails were nice (and well priced) and the barman very friendly.

First impressions of Navajo Joes are that its slightly dark with 'ambeint' lighting so perhaps not that family friendly but good for a party atmosphere.

We were then shown to our table and we ordered some 'amusements' and 1 starter. We had the chicken nachos, chicken wings, steak teriyaki and Coxina Chicken. All were very nice!

Then for mains we had chicken fajitas, peri peri chicken, sirloin steak, blackened duck and slow roast crispy pork. Mains were all good and portions were well sized too!

We didn't all have desserts, we tried the white choc chip creme brulee which was very sweet but tasty. We also ordered some coffees. There was some confusion here however as the menu says free refills but we got charged for them and they had to amend the bill.

All in all though, a very nice meal, good portions and good value. Worth a visit but perhaps as a party/group rather than a quiet dinner.

I had my 23rd birthday party at the Navajo Joe and it was a fantastic success!

The food was great,we’ve chosen a 3 course set menu+ cocktail which is a great idea for big groups. The service was great and made my night special.

After dinner, we were advised to visit the Joes Bar which was a fantastic idea!

The drinks were fantastic and the music makes you feel like dancing… great!

Highly recommended venue for a party.

Walking around Covent Garden with some friends one evening looking for a place to eat, we saw Navaro Joe's and thought it looked like a great place with a fun atmosphere...

The menu is wide and varied (as you would expect from an American restaurant) however the service was appalling - the worst that has been inflicted on me in a long time. We had to wait an hour and a half for out starters, by which time our stomachs were digesting themselves and upon polishing this off, were re-assured that our mains would be along swiftly afterwards. Another half an hour later and we were presented with the wrong main courses, cue another half hour of hunger and immense frustration.

Once the food did arrive however, it was extremely good. If you are prepared to spend the money, I would recommend their steaks - simply fantastic with generous sized portions.

Despite the poor service (something which other reviewers have picked up on as well) the general atmosphere, cool music and delicious food partly made up for it, I would just recommend going there expecting a long wait and you will be content with what "Navaro Joe" has to offer you as a diner.

I was fooled by the last few reviews which I think were possibly posted by someone with an interest in the restaurant. Scroll down to see the real reviews.

We ordered 4 different meals and they were all poor. The people on the table next to us sent their food back. Service was very slow although the service was friendly. Nice busy atmosphere. The food was very disappointing. It would probably be a nice place for a drink but avoid the food!

We walked in on a Monday afternoon, were sat down very quickly and pestered every 2 minutes, until we ordered our drinks - a bottle of hiraz, which was excellent. After that, things took a turn for the worse. It all went downhill after the waitress walked away from us, as we were ordering the food. Without a word of warning, she just walked off. I actually laughed it was so incredible. She came back with a mumbled apology, which didn't really do her behaviour justice. When the food arrived. the chargrill chicken was black, which is amazing. It only took 5 minutes to arrive, I would be surpised if I could burn a meal so quickly. During ur mans, other peoples' food (usually starters) kept appearing on our table, just to be whipped away from us, again without a word. They weren't for us, so we didn't expect to keep them, but it was very annoying to be interuppted and rude to not be achnowledged each time it happened. The atmosphere was OK, but a good bottle of red taken home would be a cheaper and more enjoyable option.
