Went to this restarant for a mate's birthday. A few drinks prior to the meal ensured we were quite hungry and delved straightinto our starters. As students who had just graduated, this was our first fine dining experience in a while but there was little choice on the starters and most of us ended up with the Chicken Caesar salad which was mediocre. The mains were much better, my mates all had steaks (in large serving portions) but I ended up with Salmon with miniscule beans and potatoes on the side. After all that wine, it just wasn't filling at all and I resorted to picking at a friend's chips. Dessert was excellent though and our norwegian waitress was delightful and in good spirits. It was a great evening out although we did end up with a £108 bill (including expensive bottles of "house" wine) at the end of it, not bad for London, not good if you just graduated.

My wife and I visited PJ's on the 1st December before going to see Sleeping Beauty at the Royal Opera House to celebrate our 18th wedding anniv.

We recieved a very warm welcome and were made to feel very much at home by all the staff.

The food was both superb and served to us very quickly and I would strongly reccomend the crispy duck and pancakes as a starter the venison as a main and the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream as a desert, mmmmmmmmmmm.

Will strongly reccomend PJ's to friends visiting Covent Garden or even just London. :-)

I went to PJs last night for a late dinner, and it was just fabulous. Staff are unfailingly friendly and lovely, service great, and the menu is always varied and full of stuff you really want to eat.

We had salads and a superb venison steak. We just had a great evening there, there was live music and a great atmosphere. I should go more often.

we visited PJS grill bar on saturday 11th November, 2006. The food was satisfying and the flourless chocolate cake was superb. Being a coeliac and requiring a gluten free diet the cake was an absolute treat - although i think it will take me 2-3 weeks to burn off the calories! I would definetely recommend PJs grill bar before going to the theatre or out on the town.

I have been going to PJ's for over ten years. I love it - and of course I have to admit I am one of those lucky brass plate names. It is always terrific, I recommend it to all my friends. One American friend, to whom I introduced the place, goes back every time she visits the UK. Great atmosphere, great food, simply great! And Bill is simply the best!

What a gem, hot tasty food (at very good prices) best risotto I have had in a very long time. The staff are friendly and helpful and recommended dishes which proved to be excellent choices.

The ambience ensures that this is a haven to chill out at lunch. The large number of brass name plates scattered throughout the restaurant show just how good PJ's is. They are the names of regular customers and are placed close to their favourite table or seat at the bar.

It's a great location, the atmosphere was warm and all the staff were fun. Food was strictly average I'm afraid. Two of my guests couldn't finish their burgers(admittedly they were American and seem to have stong opinions on them)and my place gujons were just 3 pieces of bradcrumbed fish with - horror of horrors - some tinned peas! Not really what you'd expect at these prices.

I have been to PJ's on a number of occasions over the years and always been given a warm welcome. I would rate this as my favourite restaurant in London. The atmosphere has always been wonderful, staff friendly - food to die for. Enjoyed our meal the other day. Would recommend.

I used to tell everybody that the best meal I ever had was at PJ's. Not any more. My wife's starter of 'asparagus with parmesan and balsamic vinegar was luke warm as was my home made parsnip soup. The main course was better, however the side dish of 'brocolli in olive oil with chilli and garlic' was absolutely tasteless. When I enquired about this I was informed that 'a lot of people didn't like the chilli and garlic!' So why is it on the menu? Even though the place wasn't particularly busy we felt rushed and when people started smoking on a nearby table (also in the non smoking area)it was time to leave. Disappointing way to celebrate a Silver Wedding.
