Recommended as a really good place for steak but turned out to be the most disappointing dining experience I have ever experienced.

Was taken upstairs to the far corner where the lights did not work so half of our group of 7 were sitting in the dark. There was a live band which meant we could not hear each other speak, fair enough there is a band, but he was pretty poor.

Ordered drinks and was fine. Made our food order at 8pm and then they came back again at 8:30 to confirm we made the right order so we had to wait nearly 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. We threatened to leave but they offered 15% off our bill and a free round of drinks. When the food arrived the soup was stone cold, chicken was dry, ribs were half cooked and mash was the most lumpy I have had since primary school.

In the end we offered only to pay for the food, no service charge and all drinks were free which came to about £100 but was still no consolation for poor food, waiting for a hour and a half for poor sub standard food.

Shocking experience overall and do not recommend to anyone else.

This place quite possibly serves the worst food in London. Enough said...

I dined at the Texas Embassy last Friday when celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. We had the Ribs and Flautas as a starter, which was all very tasty. For mains I had the Chicken Fajita and my girlfriend had the BBQ Ribs with mash. The Fajita was great with tender chicken and a very generous portion. My girlfriend loved the ribs and the mash was very creamy. The desserts all sounded very tasty but there were simply no more room after two huge meals!

We desided to visit the Texan Embassy on the fourth of July to mark the day. We had booked a while in advance as we expected it to be a busy day but it was not that filled. we had agreed to meet early to have a couple of frozen magaritas before dinner and the first round we got reasonably quickly. when i went to get the second one they realised the margarita machine was empty! i was asked to wait five minutes but i soon realised that not only did they need to fill it is also needed to freeze it so five minutes turned to 15 and 20 minutes when the bar man desided to serve me margaritas on ice without asking if i was happy with that, when it was not what i had ordered! we were now approching the time when our table was book for and we told the staff that we were here. we were told that our table would be ready ten minutes after our reservation? why reserve if you have to wait anyway?

Finally we were seated and ordered our food, the food arrived in good time but was bland, stiff, unappetiting to look at but eatable. the Strawberry margarita had never seen a strawberry and tasted synthetic. We finished our food and was finishing our drinks when the waitress came and asked if we wanted to order anything else when we said no she gave us the bill and told us we could not sit at the table if we did not eat and then she removed our drinks which were not empty!

this is one of the worst restaurants i have visited in London and i have tried a few. I can not recommed this place to anyone not even for a drink on the way home.....unless you have a lot of time to kill

Ate at the Texas Embassy last week and found the food to be authentic even to a true Texan! I had a steak and French Fries and my wife had a Fajita Salad. The restaurant was full when we got there so we had a drink in the bar - and the forzen margaritas were very good. Our waiter was attentive but not pushy. Overall a great night out - will add it to our list of 'London Locals'.

We ate there last week for my wife’s birthday. What a complete disaster. The service was horrible; please do not sit upstairs.... they must have all the new staff train there. The value was really not worth it. This is coming from a Texan, too. Looks nice, but it’s the Wild West inside!

How I wish I'd read the reviews posted on your website before booking a table for my daugher's 16th birthday last Sunday. Having eaten at this restaurant several times, our party of 7 were thoroughly looking forward to our evening celebration. Although our waitress was extremely polite and helpful, she obviously had no backup behind the scenes and seemed to be a constant feature at our table, telling us basically everything was off the menu. Understandably sometimes various dishes run out, but we were told there was only one ribeye steak available (in a Mexican steakhouse?!) and one of our party actually went through three different choices to be told all were unavailable. When our meals eventually arrived, most were stone cold and you could have soled your trainers with the curious battered steak dish which was the last resort for the aforesaid member of our party. Although we haven't always been delighted with other restaurant meals, we have never previously complained but had no alternative on this disastrous night. The manager waived all payment for food, it was that bad, charging us only for drinks. Unfortunately our waitress appeared to take the brunt of the Manager's displeasure which was entirely unfair. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

As a regular customer here I was quite shocked in the change I witnessed the other night. The food has always been of good standard but the staff has definitely gone downhill. No one seemed to know what was going on or what was even on the menu. This place is a good night however, just needs the good staff back!

The worst food I have eaten in London. I had a chicken chili dish-tasted of burnt rubber and no hint of chilli leaving a bitter aftert aste.

Took ages to come. My wifes salad was bland and drenched in water

Just came back from the Texas Embassy.... Definitely the most dreadful place to eat in London. Expensive and inflexible ( they won't change a side dish if you dislike the one that comes with the meal, you can't change your order without causing a problem with their system, etc. etc. etc.)

Felt so sorry for the staff, three people in the kitchen serving 60 people in the restaurant, hence, long time until the food is delivered to you. Service charge not included, I thought slave labour was prohibited by now? Obviously not in Texas... Respect to the staff who managed to stay friendly!

Food itself was the worst Mexican trash I ever came across: old lettuce on the verge of turning brown, Nachos are completely taste free and the hot food tasted like heated up a few times too often.

The plate of our starter was the dirtiest I've seen so far, the floor of the place filthy beyond belief, the table sticky.
