I dined here with my girlfriend last night, 15th February, and had a slightly mixed experience.
First off the food. On the whole very good - excellent mains of seabass with roasted fennel and cherry tomatoes. My better half had duck with roasted root vegetables that was very tastey. Being picky ( that's what happens when you work in this industry ) the only slight downer was my special starter of crab and avacdo salad that was over dressed with a rather heavy lemon creme fraiche that killed off the rest of the dish.
The floor staff are all very attentive and polite and the restaurant manager makes you feel quite at ease. However, don't go to the bar after your meal because they just don't want you there. We were on our own in there and at 10:40 the barman called last orders about ten times. We were then informed at 10:45 that he would "kick us out" at 11:20.
No need for that and it leaves a sour taste in the mouth after what was otherwise a very enjoyable evening.

We had such a good and very lazy afternoon in Tuttons Brasserie. It is the perfect spot to sit and watch the crowds of Covent Garden whilst dining on really good food. This place is informal but the food is by no means the same. I treated myself to a steak and it was perfect. Good vegetarian options for my wife too. We loved watching all the staff chat and laugh between themselves and with customers, they really work as a team and the service is exemplary . We saw waitresses greet regular guests and management make a point of saying hello too. We will certainly be going back with the hope of joining the "regular set" soon. This places leaves you smiling, a little bit drink and very well fed. Do try it.
