Don't bother. After two key signature dishes from both Singapore and Indonesia, this was far from anything that I have eaten in both places. The chicken satay was dry, seemed pre cooked and with something that resembked peanut sauce poured over it. The peanut flavour was lost somewhere. It should have been a warning after eating shrimp crackers that tasted as though were cooked in burnt oil. And so to the Nasi Goreng. How could fried rice be so wrong. This dish was overwhelmed by slices of garlic which was fortunate to give it some flavour at least. The cripsy fried egg also did not lend a hand to this flavourless Indonesian dish. If anyone has had Nasi Goreng in Indonesia or satay in Singapore, stay away from this restaurant. You will not pleased nor pleasantly suprised.

A favourite in Soho for early special price meals or after shopping. Good prices and great food. Love the hot lamb chops and chilli fries as well as the other commoner dishes. Very pleasant service and clean toilets. Read the mixed review - never had a bad experience myself!

I had heard of this restaurant because they did some catering at a function I attended at Asia House a few months ago. We were in Soho on 22nd December so decided to give it a try. We did not have a reservation so were given a table in the basement. I am not a fan of basement restaurants but decided to give it a try anyway. I rather wish we had not have bothered. The food was extremely disappointing. One beef dish the sauce was just water and soya sauce. My boyfriend is Indonesian so I get to eat a lot of Indonesian dishes at home. The taste was very bland. The oriental starter for two was one of the smallest portions I have ever seen. The chicken satay not only looked disgusting but tasted awful. These were definitely not authentic Indonesian dishes. The service was also extremely slow with just two waitresses working for both floors. I will certainly not return to this restaurant as there are much better ones nearby. It is value for money but you end up leaving there hungry so it rather defeats the object.

We have eaten at the Nusa Dua many times. The service is always friendly and the good is excellent, my favorite is the snapper with noodles, Yum! The price is excellent and the food is always served quickly making it a great place for a pre-theatre dinner. This restaurant is a gem in Soho, really nice and reasonably priced, I'd recommend it to anyone.

For a cheap multi-cours lunch or meal this place is good (6.95 for lunch, 7.95 after 6pm). But expect very mediocre meals. We tried both the Indonesian and the Thai dishes. The chicken satay was so-so, but worse was the sauce, watery and quite tasteless. The lumpia and fried prawns starters were OK, though small portions. The Thai dishes we tried were certainly not recommendable. The Pad Thai was soft and bland. The chicken dish my friend tried was ok, but mostly salty (at least the taste of the coconut milk reminded me that I was actually eating a Thai dish). Don't want to sound too critical, and if you're up for some generic "Asian" food the price is hard to fault. But for those with a preference for real Thai or Indonesian food, not recommendable

the meal is small size, it is good if you are a small guy or wanting to be slim

the waiters are grumpy

we were rushed to eat up as soon as possible

the toilet stinks

the taste is so so

very expensive if you compare with other indonesians restaurants

this is the place for people who don't know what the real indonesian food is

The first Indonesian restaurant that I've been to in London and I would not hesistate to recommend it to others. Being Indonesian myself, I probably have a higher expectation of the food and I definetely wasn't dissapointed. The 'udang bakar' (BBQ prawns with satay sauce), 'emping' (bean crackers) and 'ikan bakar' (BBQ fish with coconut sauce) were my favourites. The only criticism that I have is for the fact that Nusa Dua doesn't serve any Indonesian desserts.
