Thai Pot (Covent Garden)

agree with many other comments. I have been to this place about 30 times over past 8 years. Some male staff very cute I agree but also service very hurried. Id prefer to pay more to have less hustle and bustle, at times it felt like sale time at Ikea. Food is very variable I had some excellent meals only to return and order the same meal for it to be substandard. Its central location and price make it a good plan B if other places busy. You get what u pay for, this aint the Ivy but its charming and pretty reasonable prices

I and our friends went to Thai Pot for a bash party last night, we have had a great time, I do not agree with all the rushing mentioned by other reviews, infact I found it's the opposite, we had great food, wine, staff were extremely friendly to us, Cheerio Thai Pot

Yuk. Just had lunch here and have now made it twice in my life that I've somewhere without leaving a tip.
Our food took too long to arrive, was extremely bland and covered in oil. The beef dish, which was marked by 3 chillis as its supposed to be amongst their hottest dishes hadn't the faintest hint of chilli and a Mussaman curry, advertised as being in a thick coconut sauce was thin and covered in around 3 inches of oil, with around a 1cm of actual coconut milk beneath.
I've been to cheaper and far superior Thai restaurants in London.

I had lunch here with few collegues, the restaurant was busy and looked nice, but they food took 45 minutes to arrive. The vegan/vegetarian menu is not so, when asked the staff happily admitted that all their curries where made of fish sauce, but it didn't say so on the menu. Very dissapointed, the cooked some uninspiring tofu specially for me, bland and boring. Love asian food, but this was badly shocking.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times. The food is really good but the service leaves alot to be desired. We were guaranteed our table for 1 1/2 hrs yet after 45mins we were told that we had to leave as the next party had arrived!

unfortunately,i have to go along with the negative views mentioned below. The service was rushed and lacking in charm (inspite of some rather fetching male members of staff)and downright rude when it came to explaining the confusion over the wine we ordered.Definitely,a last resort.food, itself was okay as far as i can tell.

Went here last night and was not impressed. Service was rushed and hurried - it felt like we were a major inconvinience to them rather than paying customers. Food is very average - there was no sticky rice left by 8pm, and portion sizes were small.
Would not recommend this at all - take money and business elsewhere.
