Visited this place by chance and had a fantastic meal. My co-eater (a vegan: I'm not) ate very well and introduced me to dishes. This place serves the dishes in the traditional fashion. My co-eater (who has eaten all over the place) thinks highly of it, so I recommend it.

Ok but was disappointed that the Ggampoonggi: Sauted chicken with spicy sauce turned up bright orange & deep fried. When I complained that deep fried and sauted are two totally different things, I was told that what I got was 'Korean sauted'. Yeah right, um ok. I suggested they change the description on the menu because a lot of people really don't want and don't like deep fried food, and aren't happy when it turns up as their main meal. It was sweet too, which I also don't like. Basically it was deep fried sweet and sour chicken with a bit of spice, a dish I avoid like the plague. My husband ordered a different dish, Daeji bulgogi: Marinated, spicy pork, which I ended up eating instead and it was fine. Didn't knock my socks off though. I also had Wukkyuejang soup: Hot spicy soup with beef for a starter and to be honest it wasn't very good either. I love Korean food too, but not at this restaurant.
