I work just round the corner so this is a convenient place for Friday lunchtime. The food's great! Nice, simple pub grub presented in an appetising and hearty manner. The thick cut chips are wicked - add some sauce and it's a meal on its own. I tried the beanburger recently and it was excellent, especially accompanied by the aforementioned chips. They do a 'lunch for £5' offer too. Service can be a little slow when things are busy, so better when you're not in a rush.
