Was recommended to Adriatico by my Italian friends. I ate the Bufula pizza - it was the best I've tasted outside Italy!

Adriatico has had a refurb. Black and silver wallpaper, fabulous cut mirrored glass bar and a rather spectacular chandelier. Food has always been tastey and staff are now more friendly. The all round revamp is great but then I've always been a fan. I'll be booking the Christmas party there this year!

Just tasted the best ever bufula mozzarella pizza at Adriatico restaurant and for over-indulgence, finished it off with a delicious chocolate souffle with pistaccio ice-cream. Delightful!

I went this week to Adriatico and the decor has been change to a very smart wall paper and The food was good value for money.

Typical what I expect from Italian food. Pizza and traditional food. The wines were Italian with a delicious Fiano white to start.

I will recommend it!!!

I feel compelled to write my first ever restaurant review so as to spare readers the long wait, disastrous food and miserable décor of Adriatico. I had lunch there a couple of hours ago and the queeziness has not quite left me. My starter was the old favourite, prawn cocktail, which was an endurance but not a disaster. The avocado was devoid of any taste as were the prawns, which were clearly from frozen, and as a finishing touch the dish arrived in a wine glass for a touch of true ‘80s kitsch. For my main course I followed the waiter's effusive recommendation and tried the Sea Bass special, which turned out to be a dish where all the components were lukewarm, piled on top of each other, and drowned in their own weight of vegetable oil. Every chip and vegetable oozed fat when bitten into, and all that could be salvaged from the meal was stripping what fish there was from its cold, oily skin. As for furnishings, hopes were raised after surveying the trendy and modern exterior, but the money clearly ran out when the renovation moved inside. Most of the lighting in the dining area is provided by strip lighting on one wall, which has then been covered by yellow plastic sheeting. The cables and ducts on the ceiling are shielded only by white sheets that are strung from one side of the room to the other, and the art comprises promotional photos from liquor companies. Despite being the first ones in the place, the food was slow and it was a full hour and a half before we could escape. The £50 bill was also steep considering we only had soft drinks. I cannot totally disparage the restaurant however, as the service was friendly and attentive.

I have been there twice and I will visit again this week. Very good value for the money. Food quality, variety and presentation are rather good and the service was pretty good and quick. You can tell they are used to The City lunch rush hour. In terms of decor, well, not my particular taste, not a comfi atmosphere as it was a bit too dark but overall for the price and service it worths a visit.

Very good food (we opted for numerous tapas size starter portions), service a little slow but the most disappointing thing was the rather tacky decor in the downstairs dining room. Bit of a shame but does not detract from it being a good place to have a good lunch.

Great place for lunch or a relaxed drink after work. I am always warmly welcomed. The food is delicious - traditional pasta, flavoursome main courses and the best pizzas outside Italy!
