Good food, accomodative staff, good people watching with te occasional celebrity trying to eat without being seen or bothered. Reasonable and suficient wine list.

Great neighborhood place.

The decor and atmosphere are charming, good light and comfy seating but the service and food don't live up to the optics. We politely mentioned that one of our dishes was very salty (actually to the point of being inedible although we didn't say that) and from then on, althought it wasn't crowded, we were ignored, dirty dishes were left on the table until the bill arrived. Probably a good place for a quick drink but nothing more.

We live nearby and have been to The Abingdon occasionally in the last 10 years. The food is average as to both quality and price. The service is usually appalling: waiters slow to take orders, orders taken wrongly and you must expect to have to fight to get them to give you a bill. There are better places to eat in the area.

Great atmosphere (opt for a booth if at all possible), friendly service and delicious food. Quite pricey but then the food is of a high standard and was, in my opinion, well executed. £80 for two people for two courses and a bottle of wine. Recommend the tuna steak with octupus.

One of my absolute favourite eats in London - and certainly the best steak & chips!

This place is lovely. It sets just the right tone for an intimate dinner or a group evening out. The waiting staff were great on the evening I and my boyfriend visited, and were very sensitive to how much attention was required. The food was very good, the wine list impressive, and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. We will definitely be going back.

I've eaten here a number of times. It is good for a drink or two in the bar area, where there is usually a discreet buzz, and the restaurant has an appealing atmosphere, especially if you can get a booth with banquettes, which makes it feel like you are travelling first class on an old-fashioned train. Dishes are well executed, with good ingredients used, and service is for the most part friendly and informal. The wine list is short and on the pricey side, but all in all this is a likeable restaurant in a good location near Kensington High Street and Earl's Court Road.

I've eaten at The Abingdon a couple of times and have tried to pick something different each time... As mentioned in an earlier review, the food generally good and they don't do anything fancy with it... Price wise, it's about £25 for a two course meal - minus the wine of course...

Generally this is a nice to chill out after work if you are not going to eat there... The atmosphere is good and they do have a good selection of wine...
