We always come to ABO for a lunch on Saturday. The food is good, not too expensive and the service is professional. We never wait too long for our food and waitresses always come back to check if we are happy with the quality of the products.
We mostly happen to be served by a friendly polish girl called Ashe. She can speak Lithuanian a bit. The only one thing that I don't understand about ABO is "the toilet issue". There is never toilet paper and no serviettes.

Had lunch yesterday at 12.30, quickly seated down and thrusted menus and immediately asked what drinks we would like, they were bought back to us within 3 minutes and we were then asked to decided on our choice of food which we decided on the Fishcakes. These were then bought out to us within 5 minutes, our food and drinks were with us by 12.47 at 1.00ish we were taking the bill and leaving.
One might say they have sped up service delivery but gone to an extreme....

Good location, but cannot understand why the service is utterly pathetic. After it took 45 mins (and asking the waitress twice) to get my Burger & Chips, I realised why it took so long - it had spent about 30 mins sitting around getting cold.
Complaints were greeted with a very apologetic manageress, and my fresh B&C arrived in 5 mins. No wonder so many All Bar One's seem to be closing....

Great if you're here for brunch on a lazy Saturday morning. Not if you're in a hurry to go anywhere though. The service is a little lazy too! Although I love the atmosphere and location - if you have time to spare, and have a lot to chat about, you won't get bothered very much by the service - there were just two of us and we ordered a simple brunch deal. It took about 20 minutes...!
Can't wait to come back and waste some more time... seriously!

"Let's try All Bar One for breakfast.", I thought entering on the dot of 8 o'clock; it starts serving at 7.00 am. A nice, well-spoken woman brought me orange juice and a pot of tea, curiously, to be poured into a Costa Coffee cappuccino cup. "Well, it shouldn't take more than 15 or 20 minutes for my full English to arrive with only 4 or 5 other customers here."
Every so often, a tall man, dressed like a chef, wandered back and forth on seemingly obscure missions. Gradually, from 8.15, a group of 8 gathered at another table for a breakfast meeting, I suppose. At 8.27, I thought I was never going to see my breakfast. I called over my waitress and explained the situation. "It should not take this long. You have 5 minutes to bring my breakfast or I will pay only for my drinks and leave." She looked suitably concerned and apologised.
She came back to me at 8.31 and said "It will be another 2 or 3 minutes. Sorry." She re-appeared and with a plate in each hand, but then served the party of 8, At 8.37, I had had enough. I put £3.50 on my tray (tea £1.50 and orange juice £2.00 are reasonable prices.) and quickly told a waiter working with her that I was leaving.
I feel sorry for the waitress, but not the "organizationally-challenged" cook, who let her and her waiter colleague down. Subsequently, I read other reviews on various websites and it is clear that All Bar One has a track record of poor catering service. This was the first time I had ever been in All Bar One. It will also be the last. While there are some catering outlets on Canary Wharf that offer a good service, there are a number, like this one that do not, and are a poor advertisement for Britain's premier finance centre.

The location of All Bar One is pretty good, especially if you sit by the water. The big negatives though are (1) getting served amongst the scrum at the bar, especially on hot days (2) lack of food - I was there the last 2 Mondays and the menu options were very limited due to claims of a lack of deliveries. Plus the beers gradually ran out during the night. The staff are reasonably friendly but too stretched.

The setting, food and wine is great (Get a seat outside on a summer's evening if you can) but the usual All Bar One problems of inadequate smoke handling and over amplified music on busy evenings can make an evening inside feel too frenetic. Bar staff seem stretched, too.
