Auberge (Mark Lane)

Worst restaurant that I have ever experienced. 30 minute wait between courses. We actually left after leaving half of the COLD main. This was a new year's eve meal, we expected it to be busy but both meal and customer service were APPALLING!!!!!!!!!

Good restaurant, with really friendly staff, the food is good, service could be a little quicker but it was busy. Would definitely go again.

Booked yesterday to take two clients for lunch. On arrival there was a sign on the door saying that they were closing at 3.00pm for a private function. (This wasn't mentioned when I booked an hour earlier)

Whilst that wasn't necessarily a problem, clearing all the tables and chairs around us from 2.20pm was! We were left as an isolated table at the edge of what apparently was to become a dance floor. When questioned the Manager shrugged his shoulders and said "Were you asked to leave?" as if because we weren't that meant everything should have been okay, rather missing the point that furniture removal all around us rather detracted from what should have been an enjoyable lunch!

Needless to say I will not be going back.

Food was okay. Don't bother with the cheese - freezing cold from the fridge and tasteless. Our waitress was French, pleasant and friendly.

We went to this restuarant for Lunch a couple of days ago. Once you are down in the basement, the restuarant has a lovely art deco feel and had a real buzz, unlike so many places at the moment.

The food was good and the service friendly.

We will be returning for another lunch meeting here some point soon.
