Bangers

Bangers is another one of those Davy's underground wine bars, with sawdust on the floor, matronly waitresses and spotted dick for dessert. Also, a nice selection of port and dessert wines to splash out expenses on when you've already had one bottle of (very decent) house red too many. A good place for business lunches, with a pleasant atmosphere, good acoustics and plenty of privacy as long as it's not too busy. Food is old-fashioned rather than fancy. reckon on about £40 a head including a regulation volume of booze. Some of the Davy's are more romantic; this is definitely not a place for a date.
