interesting food, french, sometimes with an asian twist - usually well cooked - good service - very well monitored by strong maitre d' - often go back - not pretentious but still professional - red mullett fillets was best ever, closely followed by truffle risotto

Went for lunch with colleagues. I ate an excellent starter of mixed asian hors d'oeuvres (californian roll, seared tuna sashimi, tempura prawns). Was slightly disappointed by the steak and kidney pie that followed, which, despite a good mash accompaniment, was a bit on the dry side. The others were well happy with their fillet steaks. The béarnaise and chips that went with were both good.
BB has quite a funky interior and a relaxed atmos, with friendly and professional but unobtrusive service. I'll definitely go back. Now if they can just learn to better lard their pies...
