Without doubt one of the most relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable dining experiences one could wish for. If you want grand, Michelin rated, gastronomic extravagance then do not venture here. If you want good, unpretentious food which is well cooked with personal friendly service in a fantastic part of town then this is the place for you. Have not had one bad meal and will continue to visit

A short visit there last night was a total success. In an attractive little lane just steps away from Barbican, it's an attractive place which is spacious and airy, with tables nicely spaced apart. We only had an hour, so had a glass of wine each, one item from the starters menu and one from the bar snack menu - chicken liver pate and toast, and chicken satay skewers. The pate was delicious and came with a yummy, quite tart fruit preserve and toast made from posh bread. The satay was plentiful and peanuty, just as it should be. There was plenty on the menu that I fancied, and would love to come back and try.

There wasn't much choice of wines by the glass, and no half bottles (as per usual in English wine bars), but overall the wine list looked pretty fair. The service was the best thing though - the guy could not have been friendlier or more accommodating: we weren't staying long or spending a fortune, which is often enough for more money-grabbing establishments to give you the cold shoulder in this part of London. On this showing, I'd recommend it 100%.

Booked a work night here for about 40 people. Excellent canapes, great beers and wine and fantatsic service. Could fault anything. Would definitely recommend

FABULOUS! Great service from knowledgable staff with fantastic food & wine reasonably priced. A real treat to find a good restaurant selling top of the range English food in the heart of London.

wow, fantastic. A small group of us went for a meal last night and from start to finish it was fab. The service was good the food was really good and the price of the meal was very reasonable.

I love this place! The food is great, the wine selection is superb, and the staff is wonderful. You are made to feel welcome and cared for, and I found myself returning every evening during my last trip to London.
