Went to a new branch @ hatfield , herts.

waiter etc okay.

Service prompt

place well set out.

Food - not good - not authentic mexican or any thing.

Tasteless.

Rice stuck together.

Salsa not in house but crap bottled or canned.

Cold food when arrived i.e main meal.

The good side is the choc dessert with melted choc and some vanilla ice cream.

one starter two main meals, a dessert and two soft drinks £ 46, and service not included.

Because of the waiters paid a tip.

But a second visit unlikely.

i love this resturant!!!!!!!!! one of my favorites the food is out of this world so weird and good and awesome and it feels american and if you don,t like the resturant you probably went to the wrong chili,s so try it again

Went to Chilis for an evening meal with my girlfriend. Was really appalled with the service. We asked for a table for two, the waitor said nothing and just walked away. When he got to the table he pointed to the table as if to say, 'What are you still doing there? This is your table.'

Sticky and wobbly tables, wobbly chairs, sticky floors, and bad waitoring.

Will never go back!

Well, I've eaten here a few times (either the Cajun Chicken Sandwich or the Fajita Pita) and it's pretty OK. Perhaps the trick is to sit at the bar like I do, so you're rarely stuck with an empty glass. It's much nicer now there's no smoke...

We went to Chili's for a quick bite to eat before the cinema at the Dome (well recommended by the way unlike this restaurant!) and can honestly say it was one of the worst meals I can remember for food and value for money!

I ordered a ribs combo which looked nice in the helpful pictures in the menu but, much like the pictures outside tacky Spanish beach restaurants, the reality was very different! £17 for six dry overcooked ribs with a bit of bbq sauce put on top at the end and 4 shrimp, are you having a laugh!!!

Likewise the fajitas which my friends had were very small and overcooked again, not good.

If you want excellent ribs go to Bodeans in Soho which is great value unlike Chilis which is a total rip-off! Do not go here!

Maybe things have changed since the previous reviews (I've eaten in here twice recenlty).

Last time I went, had a burger - great - not fatty, well cooked, lashings of salad and good chips.

I've just got back from lunch with my boss - this time, ordered the Quesadilla Explosion salad, she had the Bonesless Chicken salad, another colleague one of the burgers. Place was heaving (Wednesday lunchtime) but shown straight to a table, prompt, efficient service, drinks refilled almost as soon as they were empty and bill delivered promptly on asking and dealt with equally well. My salad was huge and I ahd trouble finishing. Must state we did order a chili, chips and cheese start that, whilst delicious, was a little small for the £8.50 price tag.

All in all though, I'd recommend giving this place a try. The food is very reasonable and I'd suggest the management must have changed as eating here on two occasion has proved an enjoyable way to spend my lunch hour.

Absolutely cr*p. Dry food. Gristle steak. But far worse was the service which was awful. We were treated with distain all the way through the meal. Requests for food or drink were grunted and delvered by being practically thrown on the table. Everything was too much hassle. Food was taken from the table before it was finished.

We did not give the "optional tip" because quite frankly they did NOT deserve it (we normally tip at lesat 15-20% if the service is exceptional), and so were greeted by a very sarcastic "Merry Xmas".

If this review stops ONE person eating there than great. Awful.

Visited this retaurant yesterday with some friends. Was looking forward to it after good experiences State side. Service was slow, and although the soft drinks were free refills you spend more time waiting for them than drinking them. We ordered "Nachos to Share" between 3 of us, but we lucky to get 3 nachos each. Which was disappointing seen as they cost £8.25!!

The ladies toilets were a disgrace and obviously hadn't been checked all day. There was a stinking mop and toilet rolls stacked in one cubicle and something strange going on with the sanitary bin in the other. I'll spare the details!

Luckily the main meal was ok and was a decent size which we were glad of after our measly starter.

The level of service was appauling. We made our order at 12.15 and the food did not arrive until 1.10. The manager to whom we asked to speak needs to go on a customer service course as his response was apathetic and unhelpful. The food was below average. The steak that I ordered was the strangest piece of meat that I have ever tried and I am not even sure it was meat! This is not the first time I have had bad service here but it is the first time I have had inedible food.

I spent time in the States at Uni and ate at Chillis a lot. This was a chance to go back and enjoy the food again. It's pretty good, same food, decent price.
