Corney & Barrow at Mason's Avenue

I always have a fantastic experience at Corney & Barrow, Mason's Avenue and regularly take clients there.

It's hard to believe it's the same place as reviewed below. Highly recommended.

Avoid at all costs!

I have been to this bar and chain a few times. The staff are always completely inadequate both in manners and basic English.

I went recently for a business lunch with a client. Having chosen our wine and sat down, we were then told that the table was reserved, although there was no reserve notice on the table. I pointed this out but the waitress found the question too tricky. I asked the waitress where they might sit us as an alternative. This question proved to tricky for the waitress and the manageress - so we left the bar with no offer of another seat. Very embarrasing when you're entertaining clients.

I don't like these places at the best of times, but my clients offices are nearby and it was their choice. Neither of us will be going back.

Attrocious behaviour by all staff. Incredibly badly managed. Very overpriced average wines.
