Davy's (Creed Lane)

Was introduced to the place by a friend who works locally, and intend to go back as often as possible!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the wine list is excellent, and the food was lovely - quickly delivered and still steamy hot!

Nice atmosphere too - almost made better by the fact that being in a basement most phones lose signal.... few irritating ringtones or loud conversations.

Overall, highly recommended.

I am a regular user of this bar since it is close to my office.

The staff are all unfailingly friendy and attentive. They compare so well against the staff employed in many other City winebars that I know.

The manager, in particular, seems to really understand what people want from a wine bar.

What a find! My friend and I went last night, and really enjoyed the place - it's a fantastic space, an old fashioned style wine bar with lots of alcoves and comfortable sofas and chairs. The wine list is great - very reasonable and a good range - something I appreciate having managed wine bars before. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I think it would be great for parties, but also fab to just go there as a couple and tuck yourself away in the nooks and crannies.
