Great Eastern Dining Room

I am so surprised with the other reviews being that bad as it's a great place! I've been there a few times now and had brilliant service, brilliant food and the best cocktails.

When I went there last week they had just launched a new cocktail list and the cocktails were only £4. Also the bar looks great, they have decked it out with antique furniture making it a really comfy place to be.

Anyone that hasn't been before, take no notice of the other reviews and go and enjoy some yummy pan-asian dishes. (Order the bento box!)

sat night, 29th may, 12 of us, reserved area far too small, menu very limiting, food overcooked and salty, could not eat mine, have sent letter requesting refund for one meal, staff not really interested, prefer to swan around like divas. not worth the money. nice venue tho.

Fourth time here. Previous visits brilliant hence the return. This time mediocre food and the most dreadful service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Contacted them by email, no reply! Will not return, deserves to close.

Went to this place last night and expected it to be good considering the reviews but I was still impressed.

The food was excellent and the service we received was fantastic - the waiter was knowledgable and passionate about the food and was constantly refilling our wine glasses and water jugs. The atmosphere was lively - a good mix of couples and groups - and the decor very slick.

The price was pretty reasonable considering the quality - £65 for 2 inc. a bottle of wine, 3 starters and 2 mains with rice.

The only minor downside was the host didn't come to get us from the bar when our table became available leaving us wait 10-15 minutes before we approached him.

I'll definitely be going back.
