The Great Wall

This is by far my favourite Chinese restaurant in London - forget China Town!
I have been going here for about 8 years and have now been 50+ times which has included everything from a quick trip for lunch (I work across the road) to several family celebrations and I have never ONCE been disappointed.
Great Wall is totally consistent with food, service, atmosphere, attentiveness, flexibility and value for money.
Favourites on the menu are the deep friend mushrooms which are to die for, the curries which are devine and all the tofu dishes but particularly the grilled beancurd with garlic sauce - Peking style. Even the side dishes, for example the stir fried onions with black bean sauce and green chilli, or the aubergine with garlic sauce are absolutely delicious. Although I am a vegetarian, I am reliably informed by friends and family that all the meat and fish dishes are equally delicious.
The staff are always friendly, particularly the manager, and however busy it gets or however quiet it is (I have been there on a Monday in February with bloke when been the only two people in the restaurant) somehow the atmosphere is always relaxing and you always feel as though you have had a special evening. I have even been known to go there for lunch and dinner on the same day!!
