The Lamb

Ate here a few times, a big surprise as it is a proper restaurant hidden above a normal pub - you'd expect it to be a bit more pub-like but it's quite impressive. Gets busy for lunch given location, service is usually swift none-the-less. Portions are not huge but are certainly adequate, and food is very good - some stable favourites like fish & chips, some more interesting variations on traditional dishes. Overall very good value, especially considering where you are, unless you hit the wine list (its still not silly but it could seriously increase your bill).
