The Thai House

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the Thai food served by this unpretentious restaurant. It is no longer called Malai Thai but The Thai House restaurant - it was really great value and the service was efficient and friendly.

We had lunch here in November 2010. A respite from the wind and rain.

The service was polite and efficient.

We looked at the lunch menu - 2 courses for 9.90 but went ala carte with a curry, pad thai and ginger chicken. All well prepared with appropriate spiciness as requested and with a quick turn around.

You can bring drinks upstairs from the Rising Sun but they offer Tiger beer which was fine.

They take CCs but not American Express. Total 28 for 2 including drinks.

Would go again, we would buy a Spitfire and take it upstairs.
