Ming Court

As we live nearby, we go to Ming Court quite often with my boyfriend. We know now what to order : I recommend the duck with ginger. The soups are quite nice also. The only dish we have been disapointed once was the lemon chicken : poorly presented and tasteless.
The staff are always pleasant and attentive.
In general, you could ask for larger portions for the price.

Service is attentive, decor is smart and the place is obviously geared up to appeal to monied City types, and it does a reasonable job. Food is well presented, and of good - but not exceptional - quality. Prices are definitely on the high side. For those looking to impress a client or a date, it's spot on, for those looking for authentic Chinese cuisine I would recommend the Golden Palace in Harrow, it's a NW London instituition serving outstanding food, the best dim sum in London without doubt. Don't expect friendly service or a serene environment, but this is the real deal, as the hordes of Chinese clientele packing out Sunday lunch will testify.

My husband and I go to Ming Court for dinner probably 2 or 3 times a month and the food is always fantastic. The staff are very warm and welcoming and the service is always timely and efficient. Strangely enough the restaurant is always much busier at lunchtime. The evenings can lack a bit of atmosphere but the food certainly makes up for that.

Food - excellent, service good and prompt, didn't appreciate the 12.5% service charge which didn't feel was prominetly indicated at the start. Quiet so able to talk without shouting at each other. The average price for the 4 of us was £42.60 over 25% more than the indicated 'average price' on this site and I don't think were were extranvagant. As agroup we meet 3-4 times a year, eating in W.End / City usually for arounfd £30.00ish a head so final cost took the edge of an good evening.

Excellent Chinese. Food very good. Nice dumplings. Great range of dishes prepared with a bit of flair and very well presented. Very attentive, good staff. reasonable value for City. Expect £20 / head for lunch a la carte

We've been here several times as we live close by. Food is always of a very high standard and is accompanied by friendly service. Wine menu is also more extensive than most Chinese restaurants. We've eaten in many of the recommended Chinese restaurants across London and would definitely rate this in the top 5.
