TPB is ste in the Basement of St Mary-Le-Bow, sitting neatly in amongst the hustle of cheapside without being overshadown by the nearby St. Pauls
Can you be put off by an atmosphere of a crypt! Show better judgment if your taking a person out on a date, it's more quiet than loud but less initimate - mor importantly beautiful..as with the Food
I've been utilsing the take-away for many years..to my emabarrasment the Crumbles, the filling of which varies daiily\weekly.
I'll stop gorging on the Crumbles...the quality of the home-made ciabatta & foccaia sarnies, nor a hearty museli or oat porridge before the onset of another city working day canshould not tempt you here if your nearby Being served in chef uniforum with the food presented in classic takeway rperesnets the quality.
Shame the flagship branch closes at 3pm..there are 2 others...!

I ate lunch here during the summer (June 2006). It wasn't too hard to find. First impressions were that it was a bit crowded for a small place. However, the food was excellent. I think it's a different menu everyday. We had the lentil and sweet potato soup - delicious. Then had a plate of penne pasta with basil pesto, courgette and butternut squash. The portions are large and definetly fill you up. Good value for money.
The restaurant is inside a crypt so there is an atmosphere in the room. A great place to have lunch! It's open from 7:30am till 3pm. Would go there again next time i'm in the area!
