We spotted an empty table by the window and we were walking towards it, an extremely rude waitress shouted at us not to sit there, speaking terrible English (in front of other patrons!!) Shocked by that, we went downstairs, and could not catch an eye for service, even though it was not especially busy there.

At least we got to sit down for 20mins after a busy day at Southbank and search for other restaurants around the area using our smartphones!

Definitely will not recommend this place to anyone

Could not catch an eye for service, even though it was not especially busy. Eventually I went to the bar, to be told to sit down and wait for the waitress to come round. Then it was equally hard to get the bill. They seem to not know about looking out for customers trying to get attention! The bill was extortionate! We ordered 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. They were an eyewatering £9 each. It seems, as there are no prices or sizes menioned on the list, you are automatically given a large glass without being asked! So beware - this seems a rip off and a trap for the unwary. Then the waitress had the nerve to berate us for mentioning we were not happy with this! - real stroppy attitude! We were flabbergasted to see an automatic service charge had been added - What service - fit for Fawlty Towers perhaps?

Walked into the Archduke as other local restaurants were busy - maybe that should have been the clue. The choice of food was limited, the quality very poor and the prices extortionate. My partner ordered her sirloin medium rare and was presented with a piece of meat that had barely been exposed to a candle. My "classic" burger was rather better cooked at medium but was as tasteless as the flimsy chips. Add a glass of red and a beer and the bill came to £50!

Went to the Archduke last week and had an amazing time .

The food was excellent, cocktails delicious and great service.

We had a nice table overlooking the London Eye, live jazz music, simply a very good night.

Will be back very soon.

We went to The Archduke last night to celebrate my birthday.

I will never go there again! Our table was underneath an air conditioning pipe which began to drip water on to me. I politely told the French waiter who said ,in a very rude tone, 'What do you want me to do about it?'

Finally the manager gave us a free bottle of sparkling wine but the evening was ruined by the rudeness of this waiter.

We came from Holland to celebrate New Years Eve 2010 at The Archduke. And we had an amazing time!

The food was good and the live music was great. And it was an amazing place outside to see the fireworks

See you next year!

Booked a table at the archduke at late notice, found the food very good, atmosphere nice as the restaurant sits at the top of the venue with the sounds of singing and piano coming from underneath and the occasional sounds of passing trains overhead, staff were helpful and polite if only a little too busy clearing and re-dressing tables etc sometimes, waited a little longer than I would have usually liked to just to get a menu and order drinks but I was on a tight schedule that evening, I think if I hadn't had somewhere to be I would have been happy to sit and wait, overall a nice place to be and eat, nice views from both sides of venue looking out onto the streets of london and good food, especially the steak. Cost just under 65 for 2 people starter and main plus a couple of drinks which was a fair price I thought.

I found The Archduke accidently when i was looking for place to dine with my parents who had just arrived to London. We all had steaks and wine recomended to us by one of the staff. The food was great and waitress very helpful .After dinner we moved to another table downstairs to have a drink and see the band.

We were having a very good time when we heard a female supervisor shouting at one of the waiters and calling him stupid. The lady didnt care that we could hear every word she said which was very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. Things like that can change a really pleasant night into a frustrating experience.

Everything was superb apart from this rude manager.
