Had a very enjoyable lunch in the spacious courtyard. Would never have visited had I read the previous reviews but am glad I didn't as I would have missed out on finding a fantastic hidden gem. Biggest outside space I've seen in the City and well executed food. Inventive menu considering all the different dishes. Will definitely be recommending to all my colleagues.

Took my girlfriend there last week, and had dinner (pretty average), had a young man (who later we found out was one of the managers) having an argument with one of the waitresses, very loud infact. when we asked if they could keep the volume down, he had the cheek to ask us to plug our ears, thinking he was funny, he came over and put a hand on my partners shoulder, calling her darling, and telling her that the waitress was in the wrong time of the month.!!

We asked (bruno as we later found out) to please leave us and to provide the bill which we paid promptly, and continued our evening with desserts not far from there in a 'proper' restaurant.

only go there if you fancy a night out at the theatre!

Wow, Tao's menu is so diverse...I really enjoy eating here. I have only been a few times but when I have gone, I found that the food was great. I love the new mashed potato with spring onions...very tasty indeed. Bruno, the assistant manager is very friendly too.

Tao has a very different menu to most around this area. I had Tuna Steak on Wassabe mash...it was so delicious. I now visit regularly as my work place is close by and I like to take clients and work colleagues there. Great food!

Had a fantastic dinner here on thursday last. Tao is like an old friend and has become part of the cuillinary ans social history of the square mile. Sure the old gal needs a bit of a face lift, but she's got it where it counts - good food, service and ambience. Don't neglect this little gem. Maybe on your way to the latest supergastrobar you could pop in for quick drink or a bite. We enjoyed it and Tao enjoyed our company too.
