I used to love this place 10 years ago when it was called Terminus, but standards seemed to have slipped in the last 2 years, so I thought I would give it one more chance last Friday. Big mistake !

First off the food was very poor, except for the Ribeye steak which im told was good. I went for the club sandwich (on the menu it said free range chicken, bacon, tomato and egg mayonnaise club sandwich). What I got was 2 different sandwiches - a toasted chicken, lettuce and mayo one and a bacon, fried egg and tomato one. Please if you are listing a Club then serve one, it also came with the worst soggy chips I have had in ages. My starter of deep fried Mozzarella was also poor - cold, greasy and not melted at all. The place was not busy and if you have an open kitchen you dont really want to see the chefs standing around drinking redbull all night, nad then producing poor food.

Service was also not a patch on what it used to be, with our waiter really not having a clue what he was doing. When we asked for the bill we waited 5 minutes before getting it - 2 minutes later it was whipped away and replaced because they forgot to charge the wine. Another 2 minutes and the waiter was back to again change it because this time he forgot a main course. When he returned with our THIRD bill I told him he can go away again and bring me a fourth one with the service charge removed.

Overall very poor in terms of food, service and value. It was a shame as the eveing started off well in the bar of 1901 next door - I wished we had stayed there.

I decided to meet at Eastway at Andaz with my friends after work on Wednesday evening. I have never been there before and work close so decided to give it a try.

We met up in bar for few drinks (mainly beer) but my female friend tried one of their signature summer cocktails (strawberry Mojito) and really liked it. To go with that the attentive barman offered us updated tapas menu that was well priced and we could choose from selection of many items.

Later we decided to stay for dinner as the atmosphere was just perfect; buzzy but music was not too loud so you could have a conversation.

We had hanger steak and some other meats from grill and it was great.

Only negative thing I felt was a little waiting time for food but considered it ok as restaurant busy at that time. Service was attentive but not pushy.

Will go back.

I ate here last Friday for lunch and wholeheartedly agree with the previous two reviews. What used to be a fantastic restaurant called Terminus has turned into an overpriced excuse for a restaurant...sorry 'brasserie'... It really is a sad thing to see a restaurant you so fondly thought of once, turn into this. I suppose I should have seen the warning signs when we walked in on the off chance of a table on Friday lunchtime and were offered a choice of tables - this would never have happened once upon a time.

I found the staff to be fairly inexperienced and although friendly, they looked quite scared which was slightly unnerving! The atmosphere is still the same though, buzzy, comfortable and light.

We ordered the 'beef and bones' thinking it would be something similar to the famous Chateau Briand they used to serve (and at the same price, £48 for 2). We ordered it to be served medium but when it arrived it was rare-blue so I sent back my slices to be cooked a little more, however, when they arrived back they were well-done. I was so hungry I didn't complain and the staff did not come to check. Overall, it was very overpriced for what it was, even in City terms.

I can see what the hotel have tried to do with this place but unfortunately the change in quality is not reflected in the price.

I used to eat here a lot when it was called Terminus and returned for the first time in a couple of years to find although the place looks the same the food and service is now very poor.

All the waiting staff appeared to not want to be there and it seemed to be a real problem when you asked for anything. The menu is very boring full of pastas, burgers etc..

The food we had was very bland and not cheap at all. The wine list is short and again very expensive, but I guess this is to be expected given the location.

One last thing, I know its part of a hotel and that they serve breakfast in the same room, but setting up the tables all around you for the next morning at 9.30pm gave the impression they wanted everyone out. We didn't hang around.
