Thai Square on the Strand

Possibly the worst dining experience I've had in London. I went with three friends on a whim seeing we all fancied thai. I ordered the Pad Sieyu along with a starter of vegetarian corn cakes. The former dish lacked any flavour; the chicken had the texture of cardboard, it'd certainly been precooked whilst the latter was like trying to eat a rubber band. Two friends ordered the vegetarian Pad Thai and it was atrocious. Key ingredient of peanuts was missing in both dishes and to make matters worse, it lacked any other vegetables par bean sprouts and the bean curd was over cooked; it resembled pork crackling in my opinion. It tasted of fish more than anything else.
We felt rushed; service was abysmal and had to ask three times for the bill and had to reiterate several times that we didn’t want still water. We either came on a very poor sub-standard night else the reviewers that give this place a shining recommendation lack any taste buds.
Good luck to the owners but four very dissatisfied customers who will never return to either the Thai square on the strand else any other franchise.

Went there with colleagues for lunch to celebrate my first few days in the new company. The food is a bit cliche, nothing special for that kind of special price they charge.
