your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
This is a fantastic venue so unsurprisingly it gets booked up in advance. I have been there many times and always inpressed by the service and extensive champagne list. It's very romantic for two of you, but I have been there with a group of about 10 before, the maximum chairs they give you is 4 per table, but they do stipulate this in a confirmation so you can't really complain. At the end of the day, it's a bar.
This is a really impressive place to go and not one to be missed!

Absolutely venue to impress, been there on many different occasions and always happy to go back and also recommend! View as mentioned - the best in London. Choose the time when it is getting dark, so you can enjoy the day view as well as the city lights.
Service attentive, sophisticated and kind. Not really a place for food, but a glass of champagne on the 42nd floor would impress anyone (even my date who is a pilot!) and is an excellent start of the evening in London.
Boys ,get the number for this special jewel to take that special lady out, but be aware booking is essential and needed in advance!

I take a small party of 10-15 people here twice a year for a drinks party, and we enjoy it every time.
The view is spectacular, and if booking in spring/autumn check on a web site for when sunset is - then book at least half an hour before. There are few things that beat watching the sun set over the city with a glass of Champagne in your hand.
The venue is a narrow pathway running round the top of the building, with floor to ceiling glass and glass tables so as to not obscure the view.
We always order the cheaper champagne - about £45 per bottle (Delamotte if I recall correctly), which is frankly good enough and quite drinkable without being so expensive that you feel you should "savour" the flavour of the wine.
I find service has always been excellent, not to obvious and glasses are filled as soon as they look close to empty - although the bottles are nearby in case one of your party is an unusually fast drinker.
We always finish off the evening with servings of caviar on blinis - and while I am no expert on caviar, it does round the evening off very well, and is a special treat for those in the group who haven't had it before.

We went there for a 30th birthday celebration. The view was magnificent, had a great view of the sunset but unfortunately that was all that was good about this bar. The staff were very pushy to a point of being quite unpleasant. As soon as we got there we were pushed for ordering drinks (whereas we were saoking up the view first.) After ordering our drinks it was a very long time before we got them an even then the drinks were not the ones we had ordered. We had a few chairs to sit down on after a shortwhile one of these were removed, we had a party of about 20 but a chair was given to the party of 5 next to us (quite discriminatory in our view.) I would never recommend going there for the service, it is only worthwhile for the view.
