Excellent experience last night, definitely the most authentic French restaurant outside of France that I've been to! As a French person, I can say that I really felt "at home", the food is exceptional and the waitress is so friendly and makes the dinning experience even better with her good advice and charm. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody who really loves their food and wants to experience real French food / good choice of wine.

Dinner New Years Eve was disappointing here. Much older crowd than expected and staff looked rushed off there feet , creating a less than relaxing atmosphere. The lady in charge came across as insincere and little time was given to being welcomed. felt like we were on a conveyor belt. we were expecting great things after having read reviews. Didnt expect to pay £13 service charge on top of the bill. I think the food and wine is over priced. Did we feel excited to be here and charmed by the staff ? I'm afraid the answer will have to be no. a piece of crockery was chipped too.

I've had the pleasure of dining at L'Auberge on several occasions and the restaurant never fails to impress. From the warm greeting and aperitifs to the relaxing ambience and varied menu/s, all delivered with a personal touch from owners Chef Pascal and Christine (and at wonderfully reasonable prices).
The regularly updated a la carte menu is a treat in itself, and more than enough to delight the most discerning of palettes. Dessert lovers are in for a particular treat. The chef not only prepares mouth-watering entrees and mains, but is also a patissier and renowned for his sweet creations.
In addition to the a la carte menu, the restaurant offers a regular five-course gastronomic menu (often focusing on a particular regional cuisine) and also a takeaway menu, cakes made to order, deli items, gift baskets...
In a nutshell, it's a hidden gem that I was lucky enough to have stumbled upon - joy!

Upon entering L'Auberge, you are immediately engulfed by the charm and friendlines created by the huband and wife team.
The food was simple but very well done and was complimented by excellent and honestly priced wine choices. I am definitely not a dessert person but when I found out that the chef is a trained patissier, I opted for the tarte tartin and homemade ice-cream, both of which were abolutely phenomenal.
The location is a tad bit awkward and here eating establishments come and go quickly. But I've found out that L'Auberge has been there for ten years which is a testament to their excellence and loveliness.

Delicious meal, as always. I haven't visited in a couple of years on account of a move out of the area but was really pleased to see that the good food and friendly, attentive service hadn't dropped off in that time.
The starters and mains are simple but satisfying. The dessets are, as previous reviewers seem to agree, a cut above.
This is a good place for well prepared, no-nonsense French food.

This is a really good French restaurant owned and run by a French couple! I dined there last week and enjoyed every mouthful of my meal. All the courses were really well cooked and very tasty. The choices are excellent and the prices vary from set meals to a la carte. The chef is a specialist at desserts so there is a mouthwatering range to choose from. I will be going back for more!!

I absolutely love this place. I've been twice now, and would recommend it to anybody.
The food is superb - when I say you don't need, and aren't given, a steak knife for your steak you will understand! The menu is great; a wide choice of exquisite french dishes, with little personal touches by the chef.
The restaurant feels very homey - one feels like a guest, rather than a client - and the service is efficient, personal and friendly.
For the price, I honestly don't think you can eat better anywhere in London. And to top it all off, they now do a takeaway service!
If you get a chance, do go to l'Auberge. You won't regret it.

We had a fantastic friday night dinner, The starters were great, the main course was good and desert was amazing. The waiter also suggested a good wine to match our dinner.
I definitely reccomend this place.

This restaurant is a gem in Putney/Wandsworth. Christine and Pascal are tremendous hosts and do their very best to provide authentic French cuisine without any pretentions. They provide a range of menus and prices, cater for gourmet evenings, will provide wonderful gateaux to order and even run a delivery service for local clients. Pascal specialises in desserts and his chocolate fudge cake is to die for. The restaurant is unique and very well worth a visit.
