Hot Stuff
your comments review this restaurant and win a bottle of champagne
I've been to Hot Stuff around 10 times over a 2 year period.
The food is usually pretty good. Service varies quite a bit -- sometimes the staff are nice and friendly, other times they pretty much ignore you and it's hard to get served or requests are forgotten.
I agree with the previous comments re prices -- they have crept upwards quite a bit and they do seem to be rather random (I've been charged significantly different prices when ordering the same items). I've never been given a receipt so it's difficult to tell how they've arrived at the final price.
I'll keep going as locally there's no other BYO restaurants except the Bonnington Square vegetarian restaurant (which I thoroughly recommend). And the atmosphere is pretty good on weekends.

Having read the great reviews on the internet we thought we'd better try this place.
First impressions were that the restaurant is very small and cramped...essentially just a few tables in a take-away shop, but this didn't matter as we were there for the food.
The food was certainly tasty. It didn't have the large quantities of oil which can ruin curries (in my opinion), and it was very fresh with simple flavours. However, for £14 a head for a two course meal (no drinks), it could have been better. Specifically, the two meat curries we had contained hardly any meat (chicken curry had just 4 pieces of chicken!) and were mainly sauce.
I eat out in London quite frequently, and with all the BOGOF vouchers and discounts available at the moment, we did feel this was a bit overpriced for what we received.

hot stuff is and always will be a memorable place.
when a special occasion is on the cards we all go to hot stuff. why? it's owned by a friendly always smiling Raj who is the coolest restaurant owner i've met. the chefs in the back care for their food and serve it beautifully.
The food is tasty with a capital T and the cost is always very reasonable.
The decors simple, the shared family table experience is never a worry and if you fancy listening to your own music, bring a cd along. it's great.
We provide our own assortment of wines, champagnes, beers and cider so no extortionate bills for drinks. Raj provides the food to go with it and the experience.
if we weren't based in W London, we'd also be one of those regulars.
Hope to see you soon Raj & Hot Stuff
