Lovely place, went last night having not been for ages, the food was excellent and the service very friendly. It was busy which is great for a local restaurant, would say it is one of the better ones in the area.

I went to Konnigans on Saturday evening with friends and I can not recommend this restaurant at all. Two steaks did not arrive as they had slipped off our order and when all steaks did finally arrive, they were very disappointing. The chips used are frozen, the salad totally uninspired and the steak just borders on average. Also, all meals were 'luke warm.' The only thing that this place has going for it is the location. Local restaurant that is all they are, never again.

Was part of a party which was pre-booked by a member of the group. Had not heard of this restaurant before as we are not local, but found the menu choice very appetising, food tasty and staff friendly and attentive.

Unable to say if value for money as I was lucky enough not to be paying the bill.

Love the place with the rustic feel but excellent food, the new menu is delicious with the sebass and chorizo and lamb being one ouf our favourties. Great breakfasts everyday, and Sunday roasts are the best in the area. Service is good.

A great local restaurant with a friendly atmosphere.

I enjoyed the food at Konnigan's, especially the scallops with chorizo and Bearnaise sauce. I was a little disappointed with the chips, and my steak was a little on the under-done side. The dessert, dark chocolate and orange tart with raspberry sorbet, was fantastic. The service was rather slow and it did take a long time for us to get our meals. I felt that the layout of the restaurant was good, however I was disappointed that the bathroom door didn't lock!

We ate at Konnigans last night and two of us had the special menu which was disappointing. The soup was very watery and lacked any real taste and the meat was extremely fatty.

That said, our friend had the ribs for main and she commented on the generous portion size and taste. Her starter was a salad which was tasty but not worth the price.

It was our first visit to Konnigans and we may give it one more try, but would avoid the special menu.

The place was busy, which we thought was good sign despite our disappointing meal.

The best part of the meal was the bannoffee pie, which appeared home made, but either way it was massively unhealthy and very nice!

The food is wonderful and given in a generous portion however it took too long long to order and even get drinks, the staff just seemed to walk straight passed us. also the toliets are never seen to, twice i've been in there, there was no toliet paper

We stumbled upon Konnigans today after a walk and with surrounding pubs completely full. All I can say is that the staff were great and because we are wary of restaurants with long menus we ordered lightly. Hot chocolate for my 2 year old was very, very good; I had most of it. Chips were excellent, hot, crispy and fluffy. My prawn and crayfish cocktail was excellent with what appeared to be crushed lemongrass added to the traditional Marie Rose sauce. We'll definitely return and order more extensively.
