Excellent food, with a varied menu, little pricey especially given the rather rude waiters working there.

i'd like to set the record straight on the mixed bag of reviews La Mancha has received! It does nothing original and what it does do is to a poor standard. The tapas tasted "bought-in", my main-a seafood caserole- was not casserole and the fish was overcooked, atleast it was garnished with a fried piece of triangular bread and singular leaf of lettuce!!! great!! service was poor to cap it off, so i for one won't be returning.

I was very impressed with such an impressive, extensive and imaginative tapas menu. I would recommend the meatballs, blackpudding and also the chicken livers. The house sangria is also a great to start the meal off. Service was okay, staff were a bit stand-off-ish. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I went to La Mancha for a friend's birthday the other weekend and thought it was great. Paella was nothing special, but the tapas were-really inventive, exciting dishes miles away from the bog-standard La Tasca type fare. I was especially excited to see a dish I'd watched Rick Stein make in some remote fishing village in Galicia on Saturday kitchen that morning! Staff were lovely and very patient with 12 drunken, indecisive people trying to order 20 dishes between them. Would definitely go again-if I didn't live so damn far away!will think about it

I visited to la mancha last saturday night and I am surprised to read so many glowing reviews of the place. I waited half an hour to get served at the bar and then was told off for leaning my glass on the bar! I then waited a further half an hour for my table. We were packed in like sardines and the air conditioning was not sufficient for that amount of people. I had to ask for everything twice to actually get food on the table and we certainly did not experience any friendliness from the staff they were very rude and had no time for us. It is safe to say I will never go back to La Mancha, its food was average and overpriced, the atmosphere was crowded and unwelcoming and the service was awful!

Have been a number of times on dates and with family members. Food is always lovely and service prompt and polite. You can easily spend quite a bit with wines and indulging in the food, though you can also be economical if need be. 1 bottle of wine and a good feed cost around £40

I've been frequenting La Mancha for the past 18 months and I'm never disappointed. The food is always great and the staff are brilliant. The friendliness of the staff really make this restaurant special as they provide a welcoming atomosphere that isn't present in many places in London. Overall, a great place to eat whether there is only 2 of your or a large group.

La Mancha is by far the best casual place to eat in Putney for many reasons. The service is great, you will actually be treated like a customer and a person instead of a pain and a number. The food is lovely. Although they took my favourite "stuffed peppers" of the menu a while back & ive never had a good reason why! Extensive wine list. Fully stocked bar and staff that actually talk to you! I particulalry recommend the black pudding & the meatballs, the tortilla is pefect & the liver dishes are yum!
