One of the best Tapas Restaurant in London (maybe even in Spain!) Generous portions, tasty food, good service. I will come back very soon.

Having lived in Putney for a little over a year we headed to La Mancha on Saturday night. To say we were so disappointed would be an understatement, this is by far one of the worst restaurants in the area! We ordered a range of tapas - the calamari was definitely processed as it was far too thick and had very little batter on it, it was inedible (they refunded our money without hesitation which only leaves me to presume they’ve had complaints before), the beef and chorizo meatballs tasted awful and the potato bake dish was very watery, which one can only assume was because it was prepared, baked then frozen and re-heated just before serving, it was also tasteless. Each dish was very oily underneath which made it hard to pass The salad left little to the imagination, we were given about 4 slices of tomato and cucumber and the last lettuce leaves (the white bits). The only good part was the wine and beer which we should’ve had more of to make the experience more bearable! It was also really loud in the back of the restaurant. Avoid like you would a Monday morning hangover and take our word for it: this place is not suitable for couples wanting to have a romantic evening out.

I have been to La Mancha on numerous occasions and have brought several different groups of people there always with great success! The food is excellent, the variety is great and the service is always friendly and efficient. My only minor complaint is that the tables for two are a little small for all the tapa's I usually order! I have returned many times and will do again in the future. It is similar to chain restaurants serving Tapa's in terms of price but the quality of food is much more traditional and tastier.

I have been into La Mancha a few times when I lived in putney a year ago. Overall I think the experience is good value. A lot of the dishes are very tasty and the popularity can mean you have to book a table for 2 even on a week night. Service has always been above average for me, an example being that when one potato fell onto the table as the dish was put down (1 out of 50), we got a good dicount. Some of the more ambitious dishes will not be as good as some food lovers are used to..... but you are paying lower prices than average for that area. Overall I think it is good.

Just moved to Putney and went to La Mancha on Friday night with my boyfriend.
I was a little disappointed. When we arrived the waiter told us that there would be a 5 minute wait for a table however we actually waited 20 minutes. The food was tasty however I feel the restraunt is better for large parties than for couples as the individual tapas portions are large and more expensive than other tapas places I have been to.

I just moved to London(Putney) from Germany, La Mancha was recommended by my flatmate. I think La Mancha is a fantastic place to go. Went there on a Friday night with a friend for a drink and end up having a selection of tapas which were the best I ever had! Octopus, Patatas Bravas, Boquerones Fritos, Paella, Chorizo, all the portions are very generous. The tapas menu is impressive. The prices are reasonable, the service excellent and the atmosphere incredible. Highly recommended!!!

I went to this resaurant on friday night with my girlfriend and I'd say;
Pro's; Good Sardines, Good Aubergines, Wine Priced at slightly under London average.
Con's; All other food average-poor. I agree with the chap who pointed out on an earlier review that MUCh of the food is pre-formed and simply warmed. Possibly purchased from a cash and carry. Very Poor Service.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions more out of convienence than anything. I have to say the reviews are a touch harsh, its not all that bad. I agree some of the tapas is clearly "boil in the bag" style food, but I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. I love tapas and would say that this is about average and agree that there are better places around.

I'm a big fan of tapas, so after seeing some good reviews thought i'd try this place. I have to say, it was the worst tapas i have ever had, clearly processed(the croquettas were the exact same size and shape)and the seafood was hard and flavourless. If you like real spanish food try the other tapas bar putney has to offer at the other end of the high street, whcih never disappoints.
