One of my favourite Spanish restaurants in London!
Rustic, Spanish shabby chic charm - a throw back from the 1980's - but feels authentic, and great atmosphere as always full with eaters and staff whizzing between tables with hot tapas and the dessert trolley! Yes, a dessert trolley!
Very accommodating and will always fine a table for you without a reservation - and if you need to wait in the front bar area, they will always provide delicious tortilla tapas (gratis) while you wait.
The menu is extensive with all the well known tapas/Spanish favourites - and I thoroguhly enjoy the 'reading of the house specials' ritual they ahve when you are first seated. Try not to laugh when you listen to the charming 'rotund' waiter trying to recall the 6-7 daily house specials - it's like the Generation Game conveyor belt - and I always half expect him to finish with "cuddly toy and "chocolate liqueurs"!
The service is prompt, the food is plentiful, hot, and delicious, and very efficient. The waiters are extremely attentive and do the whole 'silver service' thing even with chips!
If you opt for Tapas starters then make sure you starve yourself beforehand as otherwise you'll not even get halfway into the mian course. The tapas are tasty and plentiful and the suckling pig is to die for - crispy crackling and moist, tender, tasty pork that falls of the bone.
If you make it as far as the desserts trolley, then simple, home-made classics await you. I never have room for any of the cakey, creamy stuff, but the caramelised oranges in Cointreau are delicious!

Rebatos has nice decor, nice staff and its not too expensive but food was not great.
food seems to have been prepared a long time before serving. the alioli was oily, gunky and not fresh. for anyone whos eaten good spanish food - this is definitely not it!

We recently visited as a group of 6, the bar at the front is characterful and looks very authentic I thought, the restaurant is at the back. I was quite impressed by the decor, with the skylights, the plants and the water feature I almost felt like we were sitting outside somewhere in Spain!
The food was good, not the most amazing tapas I have ever had in my life but still good. Frustratingly, being with a group, we didn't get to try any of the main courses, (since the rest of the group wanted to stick with tapas) which sounded delicious. The group also only ordered about 2 dishes each whereas I think I usually order 3-4 dishes each! I may have been sensitive to this lack of ordering but also got the feeling that some of the staff weren't that impressed with us either despite ordering plenty of wine which let down the service a bit although on the whole it was fine.
The desserts came on a dessert trolley at the end and were good.
The restaurant was fairly busy and had a good atmosphere so I would recommend it if you're in the area and wanted a good value tapas place.

ok its not Fino or Dehesa but we live nearby and often pop in when we fancy tapas and can't be bothered to trek into Soho. prices are a lot cheaper than W1 and the tapas is generally good. we like the pimientos, tortilla, fabada and gambas. cooking is sometimes a little over reliant on garlic but we love garlic so thats fine by us. would recommend if you live in the area and haven't given it a try yet.
