The White Horse is the best place for food in richmond. I love it here. Seriously go and check it out, the food is great and the staff are so friendly.

I know this place has been through a bit of a tough time since the refit, but now they have a great new head chef in place and a new manager.. Once a great place, hopefully these guys can sort it out!

I was in early this week and had the duck which I thought was very good and my wife had the burger, again very good.

I sopke to the new manager and he seems a nice guy, with great ideas so fingers crossed we might have the White Horse back with us very soon!

p.s think the need to sort the artwork out, all a bit "edgy" for me... hummmmm

We went for a work Xmas meal. Unfortunately the food was terrible and so was the service! Firstly a rude lady waitress ushered us to order ultra quickly, then she took away our starter plates very rapidly from someone that hadn’t even finished chewing!

The food order was all correct no problems but the quality and taste was poor and below average. A starter of tiger prawns & chorizo was actually 3 single prawns and a salad very disappointing. An advertised Rib eye steak, one of the most expensive mains was actually ultra thin and looked more like beef sandwich material (Wafer)! My friend had the seafood linguini which was good.

It’s such a shame because the pub is lovely and so is the atmosphere. The food and the stroppy waitress really let it down.

I have been coming to the White Horse on and off for a few years now. Frustratingly the quality of the food and the service varies enormously from one visit to the next so you never quite know how it is going to go. I have had some excellent meals and some not so good meals. Overall the management of the place seems to need yet another overhaul however I have not yet given up on the place and hope they can turn it around and restore it to its former glory.
