I went with my husband to wine and dine in Ayoush on James street and i must say im more tha pleased with the visit.
We were shown a very nice table downstairs and we hade good service all night through... delicious cocktails and very nice starters.
The belly dancer was very pretty judging from the look on my husband face and we really enjoyed our selves. I would definitly go there again and i would recomend it to anyone.

Food arrived cold, starters and mains arrived all over the place (bad timing in the kitchen), meat undercooked, even the yoghurt was sour - and the waiter gave me a hard time. When my plate was returned to me, it looked awful, so that's when we decided to leave. When I emailed the restaurant to complain to someone higher up, not only did I NOT get a response, but I was added to their mailing list! The cheek! Despite repeated requests to unsubscribe from the mailing list, Ayoush refuses to honour my request, and I'm still getting spam emails from them several years later! With such a range of better restaurants around St. James area, I'd literally have to be dying of hunger before subjecting myself to such an unpleasant experience again.

We went here on 23rd December and were seated downstairs where it was so cold that the (one) other table of four were wearing thier coats and hats. The heating seemed to be non-existent apart from one fan heater set up in the alcove beside us that was empty!
Service was ok but the food was awful and terribly overpriced. We ordered Cous Cous royale as a main and received a bowl piled full of stodgy cous cous topped with soggy vegetables and tough chunks of meat that bore no resemblance to 'tender lamb' or chicken. We struggled to find any 'succulent raisins' or pinenuts and were given a bowl of what I assume was some kind of sauce but looked more like a watery substitute for gravy.
I would not recommend this restaurant and would never go back. Very disappointing.

We went to this establishment last night with some guests to have late night tea and smoke a shisha. Apart from being located in a very nice area, it is the worst restaurant we have ever been to and caused a lot of embarrassment for us. The service is poor, the tea is awful and unbelievably expensive (£4 for a small cup!) and the shisha was the worst we have ever smoked and priced at £20! Crazy!! So, altogether a very poor experience. Shame. This is a very nice looking restaurant and well located, but so badly run. Avoid it at all cost!!
