Oh my gosh what a terrible little restaurant!
We ordered the vine leaves chicken wings and meatballs for starters, the vine leaves were terrible, the chicken was absolutely tasteless but he meatballs were average if a little over cooked.
We waited 20mins to order drinks and had to complain before they took our order, shocking service!
Main course was cold again and disgracefully over priced, their "mixed grill" priced £18 was three squewers of dry tasteless meat approx 4 inches in length served with horribly overfilled and dry coloured rice and a cheap looking salad. Hardly value for money.
That goodness we didn't make it to dessert! But asked for the bill and they sprung into action to grab the money.
Toilets are poorly decorated and looks like they've had leakage problems with napkins over the pipes in places.
We got to see the belly dancer on this Thursday night who danced for half a song, approx 2 mins and then could be seen exiting the place swiftly...wish I would have joined her!
Would never go back again, wish we would have read other reviews first!

I've got seriously bored with my Pret sandwiches recently so I've made a conscious effort to grab lunch out at least once a week. There are a few new places near the office though my faves like Goodman and Ramen Seto are still top of the bill. However after my visit to Ayoush this week I can see this going into heavy rotation. My lovely wife had visited the original one in London and had recommended it to me, we live near London so I'm a big fan of lebanese food. I like the focus on simplicity and high quality ingredients. I noticed that they had opened another branch in Eton high Street which is short walk from the office. I had a few things to go through over lunch so I popped out with a colleague. It took a little while to find as it is located on the corner of James Street and Wigmore Street, However when you go in your are greeted by a busy but airy restaurant.
We were shown to a table which we had to ourselves though the rest of the restaurant was busy. We were quite pressed for time so we skipped the delicious sounding starters and went for mains. I had the lamb Tagine whilst Dave went for the chicken version. Both came out quickly but were pipping hot and delicious. The lamb came with a beautiful salad, flavoured rice, a flat bread to keep the lamb warm and a pitta bread. The lamb itself was wonderful, crispy but moist. In fact the food was so nice we soon forgot about the boring piece of paperwork we were meant to be discussing. The waitress was very helpful bringing us refills of iced tap water. The food coming out for other tables looked really nice, big mounds of humus, taboulet and the like.
Lunch was both tasty and satisfying so no room for desert but I did order an arabic coffe which is their version of the turkish coffee. It was very nice and had a lovely aftertaste possibly cardammon. Lunch came to a very reasonable £27 for two which for the quality of food we had was great. I really can't wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu. This is one chain that deserves to do very well.

Bad service. Bad, loud, inappropriate music and bad food. Disgrace to North African cuisine. Food was definitely pre cooked days earlier and just microwaved to order. I had the chicken couscous and it was so cold, dry and hard, I nearly choked. The couscous was bad and the sauce that accompanied the dish was so watered down it had NO flavour. Service from one waiter was so bad to point he seemed like he just didn't care about the place, customers or for that matter anything. My wife had the lamb tagine and it came out "steaming" due to the microwave. The inside of the meat was lukewarm and most of the shank was just fat. The flavour was dull and the lamb smelt old. Overall the experience was bad and I would not go back at all. Plenty of places nearby to eat that are 100 x better. BEWARE THIS PLACE IS BAD. 0 STARS.

Went to Ayoush few days ago and wanted to give it a try.
First of all the warm welcome from a beautiful smiley hostess at the entrance of the restaurant whom actually took us to our table was a very good first impression of the expectations that i have in mind.
Everything that followed the nice welcoming was absolutely delightful and enjoyable.
The food was succulent; i have been to Marrakesh many times and believe me i was much more impressed with Ayoush's dishes; the cheese briouats and the Cous Cous were cooked to perfection.
The lamb tagine as my main was heaven, perfectly spiced, the meat melts in your mouth. My guest had the fish tagine and same, the delicious lemony flavors in the tagine and the combination of all the fish and the shellfishes; yummy.
The dessert were also another delightful moment; the Mhalabyia and the Fruits; i will totally recommend them.
The service was friendly, smiley and professional; some little mistakes were made but hey it was a busy night and we didn`t mind because of the smiley faces from the staff.
The whole experience was absolutely divine and yes Ayoush is a great place to go for dinner or to impress friends that are visiting or simply if you want to celebrate a special occasion.
Thank you to the all staff at Ayoush; i had a fantastic memorable dinner. I`ll definitely come back.

Went to Ayoush for a meal last week and it was absolutely appalling!
Ordered the special mezze, the only thing special about it was its size......tiny!
Massviely over priced, rude and smelly staff I shall not be returning to Ayoush and would not recommend it.

Me and boyfriend visited this place yesterday evening. All I can say is I never been to such a unprofessional, choatic restaurant.
We were first seated in downstairs area which was very nice but very loud and busy if you are a couple. The staff kindly moved us upstairs part of the restaurant near the entrance.
Our starters arrived within 25 minutes of being seated. Thy were quite tasty and a good portion (from the set menu priced at £24.99 pp). The kind waitress took our plates once finished and askes if were ready for our mains. We then waited one hour and fifteen minutes for our mains! People who arrives before us were fed before us.
One hour and fifteen minutes later hungry and fedup we asked the front house staff to cancel our main. The fronthouse kindly acknowledged we were very fedup! We asked to speak with the manager to complain about the awful service. We then told he was "too busy" to meet us.
The staff provided us with feedback cards and to other customers who waited like us.
We then decided not to pay for anything and walk out due to the absolute madness in the place. The kind staff encouraged us not pay and also admitted they were very embarrased.
All in all the food was ok but the service was just disgusting. In our advice stick to the other resturants on the street the staff are more welcoming and food is wayyyy better!
