Bistro du Village

Used to be reasonable value for money. The the portions have shrunk and the quality plummeted. The menu just has too many "has been" dishes with high price tags. Not going back again despite having been there quite a lot in the past.

A couple invited us to go there for a special 'discounted deal.' Apart from us there were only 2 other people in the restaurant on a Saturday night from 7pm-9pm. The buffalo tomatoes were slightly bigger than cherry tomatoes. The food was not terribly disgusting. It was not value for money. The waiter tried his very best to make us leave. Dark and gloomy.

I beg to differ with Dr Ho (April 5th 2005)

My boyfriend and i went there last night after a very long day at work. The food was excellent, the owner even catered for me especially. I fancied some Salmon, which was not on the menu and the Chef made it for me.

The food was tasty, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was second to none. Its a quiet restaurant and perfect for a quiet night out. Highly recommended.
